After more than 2000 hours playing. I think this game need badly PvP servers with partial loot (all kind of resources loteable)

Whilst I agree potentially having “Iron Man” servers might be of interest to a certain type of player, I doubt there will ever be enough to support even 1 box as the game stands.

The need to fix the combat system for starters. This Stun/stagger spamming engine really breaks down in mass brawls, and with no support utility skills (stun breakers etc) cant see them ever having a huge PVP community, combat just doesn’t really flow, you either LA runaway cant catch me, or Med/heavy Ill take a few hits give a few hits.

There are not enough big ballsers anymore nowadays, golden times of Ultima Online are long gone. New young gamers wont ever understand this, why ushould fight till u still breathing and have chance to survive, they rather save money for pot, bcs they dont like too tryhard, if the chance is low pffft… It is well prooven, no new game can sustain this gameplay anymore, every single one which tried failed. Even NW started in thatstyle, and soon realised they need rethink, bcs only few Alfas were enjoying themselfs by zerging no chance nbs… Until humanitys positive thinking will be restored, there are not enough healthy competition mindsets, who understands what honor and sport spirit isanymore… Almost everyone in this type of games thinks only for himself, is power and wealth driven and is not ashamed doing stuff to others, which inthe wise minded eyes are absolut garbage-tier, only because of feeling little control of someone else for a while, before his alarm clock start ringing at morning and he will be for the half of day experiencing himself from the otherside… Sadly fix of this dont startand cant be done in gaming section itself.

I think the game could’ve pulled it off at a point on a limited basis but I don’t think they have the player population to succeed with it anymore. I think they should just work on other things for now.

V rising is being so popular only because lot of people like games with some loot. Open PvP server with partial loot will make lot of PvP players be interested in the game and many others to return so i think is not a bad move for AGS to make that “niche” player base play the game. They will continue exactly like now but making happy all kind of players.

I actually think the next zone should just be partial pvp loot in general. Forced PVP on with RNG (and spread out) spawn nodes for materials. I think it’d drive a lot of open world pvp again.

I would also be pleased by having zone likethat, with like better chances for better loot or somethinglikethat, NW is atm one limitless oportunity. But first devs should focus on whats important and stop doing childish mistakes and pissing every part of community one by one patch by patch…
BCS if they just tried improve game by nerfing bow movement more, than Idont know if Ishould laugh or cry.

This would be the best game ever if 1. PvP wasn’t optional and 2. Players weren’t by and larger douche canoes.

The fact is they have 2k server limit. That 2k now a days is shit. And instead of make that weakness an advantage making servers with diferent rulesets to make all kind of players happy. And who nows, may be u make PvP servers with partial loot and BooM this game become so popular. Its clearly that server cap of 2k players is a suck, but at least they can make PvP ruleset. They didnt lose nothing but can earn lot of players , who knows. Its clearly most of us think that game need Risky PvP outworld.

Bad decisions followed by bad decisions. Now a days no one knows who they decide to erradicate PvP outworld instead of make diferent rulesets if servers are severaly caped at 2k players, and they have lot of them empty. Rework some of that useless servers with PvP ruleset and let this game go to the moon

Don’t forget
3. Factions didn’t exist

yes… eliminate factions and let clan wars…pls… is a pain in the ass this faction mode. another bad decision that has non sense… New World was designed to be the first Great Game of the new MMO genre. And finally they take the wrong way to take the easy money… Now the New MMO that will make some company rich will be the new Survival of blizzard, or League of Legends MMO may be The day Before , may be Ashes of Creation… But they have 1 comon sentence PvP with risk, Because PvP means. New world take the worst decision dont making at least PvP servers with own ruleset, they prefer to open 213412124421 servers with same ruelesets. Sense? nothing

I am sure if they Make since start PvP servers with resource looting in PvP players will be at least 100k in peak hours instead of 20ks. Because game will be funny like hell

You’re absolutely right.

If they removed expertise, I’d restart on a new PvP server tomorrow.

Why makin new servers if they can just add some closed space pvp content with full loot ? Or partial loot … Imo Arenas 3v3 should have 2 modes no loot and full loot, you cn choose :grinning:

Albion’s game population is thriving. New World absolutely could grow by going full loot but the game would need to make drastic changes to follow Albions gear system and scrap the rng percs and attributes nonsense in crafting and loot. Pre-defined gear percs and attributes that make sense and are functional.

Get rid of the individual gear piece rank up system and make any gear piece type expertise level be the value for all replacement gear. Have a 625 hammer and lose it. Replace it and the new hammer auto-increases to your 625 hammer expertise rank.

The current expertise system per gear piece is extremely casual player unfriendly having to rank up each gear set piece type for all of your various sets individually. Its a garbage system that was designed as a tine sink first without any thought into if the system would help grow the player base.

The systems need to make the game more approachable for players to hop into and not have such a formiddable time deficit to catch up to be competitive.

Albions system of gearing and loot drops is superior in nearly every way.

Somewhat agree, the loot that drops now when get you an open world kill is pure trash (as is the loot from most boxes you open). If rewards were better, more people would be enticed to seek out that open world combat. I don’t think it has to be loot from the killed player, just better drops in general. I’m all for a PvP zone as wel.

It’s a video game not war. Calm down boomer.

But of course… mobile games have a bigger market than pc gaming. They pretty much doubled their daily player count when they launched on mobile…

It would be interesting to know the concurrent player count… does their launcher report this?

The game can’t support such a design because almost everything the game values time spent grinding over any sort of player-skill.

When the winner is determined by whoever has the most /played, good players and casual players leave.

New World needs fundamental changes to combat and loot above all else. Without skill-based combat, this game will never thrive.

The issue with loot PVP is that it caps pretty low. Loot PVPers are always hugely vocal, but then they all ‘flood’ a game and you get like 2000 players. Albion peaked at 11k recently, and I’d wager the guys with 2000 hours in Albion are uninterested starting from scratch in NW. Likewise vice versa.

Consider that their resources are strapped hard enough that transmog isn’t even on the radar right now. How likely is incorporation of a system they already abolished on the grounds that players were basically taking it as carte blanche to grief?

I totally desagree with losing your gear on death, even just your resources. In fact, I totally desagree with forced PVP. Some people loves Albion, personally I hated it. It favors only the hardcore player and the casual player like myself are just being bullied.

What more is that those games sometimes result in big Zerg group going around killing everything they see. You might find it entertaining, but for myself I prefer when fights have a lower amount of people so I have more influence on the result of the fight.

It sounds epic nice, but having trying these type of game, I can assure you that less vocal part of the community (Casual player) does not the dynamics that those PvP rules implied.
