After playing a full day of OPR

Well yea bow dmg is crazy when focused even with 30-35% thrust resists. Solo bow isnt problem. Problem is top quality premade bow squads. They just nuke you in 1sec with focus fire even if you standing in sacred ground and healer wont react on time couse there is no time. You just die.

hence why nerfing ranged damage would be healthy

We need less dmg on all weapons. But beside that i think we will see small fs nerf next patch and bigger one when it comes to bow.

there’s no evidence all weapons being too high damage, because it is currently impossible for melee weapons to catch ranged weapons before getting obliterated.

Dude there are many mele that can catch almost all light except few dex. Rapier/Spear, Spear/hatchet, Ga/Hatchet, ss/ga - many

just catching any ranged dps light player as a melee? bonus points if you could kill them

You can catch mage no problem with any build, even medium whern u drunk. So whats your point?

If talk about range. There is no range build dude. There are many range builds and they are very different when it comes to mobility. So are mele. Even without separariting into possible weapon combination you can talk about light, medium, heavy.

if you haven’t played as a melee player in this game, I think your opinion on it is of less value that is all, maybe try it, see how it plays in the current patch, then bring your opinion to a balance thread.

I wish I had tested firestaff too but I’m pretty sure people had made posts about it being too strong in PTR.

If you nerf the damage then nothing could assassinate healers. I think during the block revamp they should increase the effectiveness of blocking ranged attacks.

ha, most weapons can fight healers, you just can’t because the range one tap all the melees who try… No matter how low the damage, bows and range players will always be able to get picks because of their sniping potential. The range problem is why all fights are now just homogenous blobs fighting each other as there is no flankers that can even challenge. also when ranged is toned down I’d say lifestaff is due a healing reduction tbh…

Yeah? And what do you think happens when it’s a light dps + healer vs medium/heavy dps + healer? The light is going to lose or has to exit the fight.

Should lights start complaining that they can’t trade as well as heavier loadouts when healers are involved?
