After switching to Win 11 - Crafting attempt failed

Hi, I did the mistake of “upgrading” to win 11.

Latency is through the roof and ping jumps from around 20 ms to 200 ms every couple of seconds.

9 out of 10 crafting actions results is “Crafting attempt failed”

Hello @amirlivni

I’m sorry for this issue that you have encounter while crafting.

I recommend to verify the integrity of the game files, steps to do it will be on the link below:

Also make sure that you are not missing any recent updates on the win 11

Regarding the connectivity, it is always recommended to use a wire connection, please try the basic troubleshooting steps & see if the issue gets resolved.
To toggle IPV6:

  • From the Start/Windows Menu, select Settings.
  • Select Network and Internet.
  • In the Status section, under Change your network settings, select Change adapter options.
  • When the Network Connections window opens, right-click your network connection.
  • Select Properties.
  • Scroll to Internet Protocol version 6. 6-Uncheck the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) box.
  • Select OK to save your changes for the selected network adapter.
  • Try launching the game again.

If that doesn’t help, we’ll need to completely reset and refresh the connection your computer has to the internet:

  1. From the Start menu, begin typing ‘cmd’.
  2. In the results that populate, right-click the Command Prompt result and select Run as administrator.
  3. Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter. Wait a few seconds and when the command prompt appears, proceed to the next step.
  4. Type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter.
  5. Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
  6. Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
  7. Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
  8. Restart your computer.

Thank you so much, I hope you have great one! :waxing_crescent_moon:

I’ve been running NW on Win11 for over 800 hours, no real issue that I can pinpoint to NW not being compatible.

I run win11 as well but tend to tweak.

As I did with Win10, I tend to deactivate all the Bloat included in the OS as it steals resources you really want for gaming. The video I linked has most of the simple settings.

I also found a good video which shows how you can set up a process which automatically releases cached memory, as Win11 (Win10 also) is not very good at that, to help with resource management and system slowing over extended gaming sessions. I may try and find it and add to the post as it is very helpful in all apps/games.

Hello @Wangno748!

Hope you are doing well.

Thank you very much for your valuable suggestions. We really appreciate you helping other players who are experiencing issues with NW after switching to Windows 11.
