Because that’s a standard mechanic in the game. When your inventory is full, you can’t pick up any additional loot.
That was a good idea. Ultimately though as you pointed out, you finally encountered a situation where you couldn’t carry out the process quickly enough and you lost everything left. It is the fear of some situation like this - I got distracted, I got disconnected, you name it - that I wouldn’t ever intentionally drop something on the ground that I intended to keep.
Yes, he’s mad about what happened to him. Yes, it seems as though he is putting perhaps more of the blame on Amazon than is their fair share. Let’s not lose track, though, of the fact that he has identified some actual issues, and further offered constructive solutions to those issues.
Sometimes we get so tied up in ‘winning the rhetoric’ that we drown out anything of value that a conversation might have held.
lol don’t get so mad about it. You’re not the one that lost the mats, it’s gonna be ok. : )
I picked up a precision armoring tools, worth 45k on my server, in chest runs the next day so I’m not sweating the gold, it’s just these constant player punishing scenarios that annoy the hell out of me. Just don’t get why it’s like this.
I agree that it need some failsafe protection on TP. I put 500 infused leather at 800g instead of 8g each and it cost me 10k in taxes I didn’t notice because we use coma in French and it bugged when I put 8,00
You should wait until the game gets out of beta before you try to play seriously.
In seriousness, your suggestions are valid, though not very fleshed out. We could discuss these points further and offer AGS productive feedback that they might actually implement.
There is a buyer beware argument that your situation is unfortunate but ultimately your fault.
And your frustration in the beginning of your post is a magnet for the trolls that sense weakness and want to make other people feel as bad about themselves as they feel about themselves.
Again, making the purchase was obviously my fault, but having no options to resolve it afterward and being rooted in front of the disabled tradepost with my settlement storage suddenly cut in half, not so much. Plus I had no way of knowing about the storage bug until I’d already dropped the mats so I could walk to the storage.
In my mind, I simply needed to drop half the mats, waddle over to storage, clear a bit of space, and waddle back to the TP to relist the wood. Once I realized my storage was jacked up, Id already started the game of hot potato with the dropped bags and that really made the situation difficult.
My settlement storage was actually underutilized, by the way, I should have had about 300 space in it if not for the bug putting me negative 600 or 800 or whatever it was.
I find when I try refining my load when I return to town that that sometimes when I click on smelt iron ore button it doesn’t register so when I click accept im actually making charcoal from the lowest quality wood I own. Sucks when thatt is Iron wood planks.
It has even happend to me on the second click when I caught the first not registering. Well the second time clicking iron ore must be a sure thing. Nope I crafted coal from the lowest wood in inventory agian…
Had a similar experience when I got rooted and couldnt sell due to lack of storage. I was lucky though because it wasnt near as bad as op (thx for the laugh btw was a funny read even though I feel sorry for you). I just came from some farming run and had lots of ironhide so my inventory was almost full andI thought I pick up some ore on the way to the melter…So I just dumped some of the ironhides (were like 0.01 at the time so no big loss).
