Do you understand that this Injects coins directly into the economy from a deep hole that has nothing to do with the economy? Pretty bad for any economy to have injections outside of it - think of it as making shady money under the table off of drug deals and inject them into your legitimate company. the idea isn’t bad but isn’t good either.
basically it would make gold sellers less desirable if there is a legal way to buy gold.
on the other hand wow tokens didn’t actually add gold to you. you still had to sell the token to someone willing to buy it. which ppl bought because they could exchange them for gametime/cosmetics.
the problem with this idea in this game is that gold is too powerful. you shouldn’t be able to just buy BiS gear with gold.
even in wow you aren’t able to just buy max ilvl gear however the elite guilds often buy gear for gold to try and brute force new raids which is just sad.
Proof that people use gold sellers, everyone i know buys tokens instead of RMT because its SAFE
