AGS Discord Access

Hello,

I am unable to access the AGS Discord for NW. The invite does not work. I’ve never been a member, so I am reasonably certain I wasn’t kicked/ banned. My IP address has been refreshed, so that should not be an issue either. I tried contacting support, but they didn’t really understand the problem and sent me to Discord support, who of course sent me back to AGS since they (Discord support) do not handle administration of specific servers.

I can provide my discord username to whomever might be able to help. Thanks in advance!

I’ve had a few members of my company run into this error. Is there a way to check discord user names to see if we are on some sort of block list?

As i checked there is no way to know if you are blacklisted from a server, but if the issue is with a lot of people in your company, or the company as a whole, there is a high chance this is an error on Discords side

Just to verify, on the AGS Discord, no one is listed here in the settings:

Bans can be handed out by username or by IP address (for the persistent troll). My guess is I am hitting IPs banned by others, but if no IPs are banned then I have no idea.

I did contact Discord customer support as well when I first realized the invite didn’t work about a month ago. They were adamant that Discord the company has no control over individual Discord servers. There is a way to get banned from the entire Discord service, but because I can access plenty of other Discord servers without issue, they said the problem must be specific with the AGS Discord and to contact a moderator there. I don’t know how to do that, which is why I came here :slight_smile:

But unless you have already been in the server there should be no reason for you to be banned, that is the only confirmation i can help you with

Fair enough, but someone has to be moderating the AGS Discord. I can’t imagine it is the wild west in there. Standard customer support can’t check, and now the support forum isn’t a viable option either. Can you point me to someone else? Maybe give me a mod/admin user name on the Discord server itself (since you can access it) so I can try to message them directly from within Discord?

In these case, one of the mods is Luxendra they should be able to check what is going on or if you have been banned, but if you have been banned for some reason there is nothing else we can do

Ok, thanks! I am going to ping @Luxendra here and see if one of my company mates in the AGS Discord can reach Lux on the server itself. Thanks for helping me troubleshoot!

Try logging via the website using a browser. I’ve had this happen with other discords that’s worked for me

Luxendra was able to get it resolved, but I appreciate the advice!
