AGS has been slowly walking back the Musket nerfs before the PTR patch goes live. Accuracy is no longer required. Muskets will continue to be the most frustrating weapon in the game. And players will continue to leave because of it

Are you light assassin ? if yes you will easily catch a bow … if your not , you dont have to chase them in first place thats not your role .

Something like 75k players have quit since musket was re-enabled after months of musket players abusing exploits.

AGS doesn’t care.

because you think only 1 role in the game should be able to catch a bow ? haha

who said that ? all other ranged can catch a bow , light melees can catch a bow … Medium melees with close gappers can catch a bow . You should be complaining about muskets who are damage machines from 100 + meters away . not bows … bows need to be close in order to input real damage . if ure heavy or medium ( without close gappers ) its not your job to chase bows . I guess you are a “FAT” bruiser running Warhammer and you complain you cant catch a bow … the only since Rapier Riposte / evade nerfs patch … all the light ranged can be catched if you know how to play . Except 200m muskets off course unless you catch them by surprise .

you telling me people should not complain about bows ? are you for real ?! bow is one of the higst mobility in the Game with 1 of the highst dps in the Game and will even do more dmg after the Patch. While musket gettting nerfed bow gets a minor nerf and will be even after the patch 1 of the best dps weapons pvp wise in the game.

let me gues you are playing bow and dont want to shine light on your favorite weapon so you can have more fun time with an easy to play weapon.

and no i dont play war hammer but dont you see a problem when only 1 build is able to catch a bow ?

Nop actually Musket nerfs are almost all reversed , second no im not a bow user but i used to be one… and do you know why i stopped playing bow ? because i almost feel useless as a bow player … its just an ego class that makes you get lot of kills and duels ( i was getting always between 20/30 kills and 0 or almost 0 deaths on an OPR ), but you contribute almost 0 to make your team win . Im currently a mage getting 2 shooted by a bows and i dont cry as much as you . If you tell me bow needs a dmg nerf i do agree but telling me they need mobility nerf i dont …unless they give bows the ability to stagger again , bows are not supposed to be catched easily … same way bows are not suposed to survive inside a point of capture . the problem here is that you guys want the best of both worlds you like when you completly melt bow players inside the point but you dont like when you cant reach them in open fields … Bows need a damage nerf and they already did it … adding to that mortal empowerment nerf they will have to risk much more to keep the buff working ( which means you will have much more openings to catch them ) … remove them the mobility and they will not only be useless for team objectives but they will be useless in every aspects of the game .

Bow always had a huge damage input , and how many bows where used some months ago on wars ? 0 !!! the reason bows are now big part of wars is mainly because of mortal empowerment buff and the reason Bow is doing incredibly well on PTR is because everyone is scared of Fire Stafff running 0% thrust absortion .

where do i cry ? i am simple telling facts you if a weapon is overused in pvp battles like opr/openworld it clearly shows how strong it is. people tent do use weapons that are easy to use and produce good kills/numbers you cant deny that.

" bows are not supposed to be catched easily … same way bows are not suposed to survive inside a point of capture "

you can switch out here the word Bow for musket right? and still people complain a lot about musket because some people sit on rocks and snipe with it like the devs intendet for people to use the weapon. and like the Build that should catch bows should be able to catch muskets aswell.
Talking about bow being useless and then people want to be musket useless in every aspekt of the Game like it is nearly already.

and btw i am playing bow my friend

But that assumes that their damage and survivability is balanced.

High mobility and damage? Low effective survivability then

You can burst with 200 con bow. The only actual counter to bows is a different broken weapon(GS) assisted by a strong one(SNS) lol.

On that note, I would love a melee weapon with passives like dodge and weave and archers speed.

I’m trying to be hastey too

Common sense design would be one of the following:

  • High Damage, moderate mobility, very low health
  • High damage, moderate health, no/low mobility
  • Low damage, high health, high mobility

However, the bow currently has high damage, high health, and high mobility.

Morever, with the same constitution, the bow’s heavy attack hits just as hard as a greatsword’s heavy attack on the PTR. Realistically, the bow needs at least a 20% additionally damage nerf.

It doesn’t make sense for the bow to hit as hard as the strongest melee weapon, especially when you can consistently dish out damage from any distance, have the same health as a melee player (and more mitigation than a GS player), and have more movement than most melee players.

They really just didn’t think bow(and other weapons) through. I’m not sure why the pen shot animation cancel still exists and it just has too many damage passives for how frequently you can shoot.

At this point idk. I just kind of laugh about it…no idea how anyone can look at the bow trees and not be alerted as to how ridiculous it is. Like…how many damage passives do you need and why is only one of them actually empowerment. And why are there like 4 hastes in the tree on top of that? I mean most people use 2/3 of the 4 but like…4? Why? Because of all of these damage passives, you can just go 209 con, and at that point what do you need all of the extra mobility for? The weapon is just ranged greatsword and all of the “rank 1” YouTube bows gotta accept it.

All you guys can keep talking and talking and talking, but the DEVs are deaf.

That’s why I said I just laugh about it now lol.

So excessive with the dmg buffs, jeez. GS no better but at least it comes with some drawbacks like being in melee range and the self rend.

pov of light assassins trying to chase a bow:

Bow mobility is ridiculous. In this clip the bow was able to live through 3+ light attacks, skyward slash, a shield rush, and social distancing all connecting. If the bow wasn’t out of position and had any sort of other bow teammates there that whole engage would be chalked he would get away and one of the light “assassins” would of been dead. The bow breaks all semblance of ranged to melee balance in this game.

Those light assassins aren’t bad either, ironically they are probably in the top 5 most effective light assassins in NA, bow/rapier is just such a joke of a weapon combo it makes even good players look like trash.

Buff blood & nerf grace is what I say.

Even after the Evade tree perks and riposte nerfs grace tree is still a pump, because it synergizes with 150 dex and light armor sooo well it’s just too good to pass on.

I think that instead of lower costs on dodges 150dex should have bonus stam regen or some conditional haste. -10 stam cost per dodge combined with Rapier mobility or Spear stam pool is too easy to utilize.

Now I am not saying nerf it to the ground, but there are surely some things we can do to raise the bar a little bit, bring up the skill floor.

It’s only unbalanced when bows use it though at this point. Any other build utilziing the grace tree is perfectly fine. Rather than nerf the rapier more the bow should be looked at.

I’d say that is argumentative.

I am not saying nerf the rapier I say reduce it’s utility (grace) and buff it’s damage (blood and some bits of grace) to compensate.

It’s called an adjustment that I think could lead people to use the rapier more as an actual weapon and less as queue Benny Hill theme.

BTW the clip you provided shows +/- 80% of the survivability that dude running away had came from grace and 150dex, and not the bow.

i dont see an issue at all with that video. You missed your first two hits that would have slowed him down and killed him.

You think a greatsword user should be able to catch a bow after you completely miss your first encounter? how does that make any sense?

You just seem salty because you are not very good.
