AGS needs to HWID ban aimbotters

Ive been suspended for telling people to wash their keyboards with soap. All you need is enough people to hit the report button for wrong think and your suspended. This is a bad platform to think anyone is genuinely truthfull when the platform operates like this. All we are getting is a watered down snippit of what people really want to be able to say. And i for one think that if you have your in game prophanity filter turned off, you should have a discression advisory attached to your profile in which waves your right to report and if you have the profanity filter turned on you cant read that flagged persons post or messages.

Dont know what you said but i support it fundimentaly because censorship is a blight on the media.

Didn’t miss much, it was just a string of personal attacks and insults against me because my suggestion of HWID bans for cheaters really upset him for some reason.

But no one else would ever know. Maybe some day could be a game specifically for who can write the best aimbot program but an mmo is not the place for that. But reporting in the forums should not be okay. Its been taken from the reader for us to discern whether we aggreed or not. This is why that report button is such a bad function. There could have been good points in the mess of prophanities and insults or it could have just been dumb.

Putting into purspective if someone is bipolar, what do we do with that? Some times the response from them is pleasant, intelligent and grounded. Other times they arent so possitive, they may be personal attacks, they may be foaming at the mouth in frustration because someone might post something like fishing in this game is too complicated it should be made simpler or everyone should just get aimbots for instance.

Can we value the insights of a calculating intelligent person who may say a bad thing from time to time. Or is it a cut and dry foam at the mouth and bang head on the report button in a maniacle retort every time. Im not saying specifically at this one instance but painting this picture with a very braud stroke.

We have had two purples on Valhalla banned for aimbot… and even admitted on the forums about the ban

aimbotting is a lot more common than you think.

Yep. Nice try. Actually was told I was suspended “by accident”. Apparently I got “spam reported” by a single user and it triggered the auto-ban thing. They apologized and corrected the issue.

Wonder who the user could have been?

Anyways… Back now and the Devs said they’ll be watching people spam reporting more closely so that shouldn’t happen again.

This is a straight up lie btw sir. The only “attack” I launched was asking if you could back up your claims. I’m pretty sure that doesn’t qualify as a personal attack

Heck… I even went so far as to:

I don’t know why you’re trying to interject yourself when neither of us were talking about you.

I know a cov player on Valhalla that was banned for aimbot too. Took like a month even though everyone knew he was cheating (guy used the same username and discord for cheating sites/servers).

Also some here on CoS that admitted they were banned on the forums but I know at least one still plays on an alt on Maram.

Just was replying to a comment of yours from earlier after you lied about personal attacks and got me banned.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

Ya but all you’re doing is just going… “I hear about” and “I know a guy” and “Stuff is happening, just trust me”.

Again… zero attacks against you or bashing on you but you’ve yet to show any actual proof. Got names? Url’s to twitch streams of people cheating? Youtube videos catching them at it? Screenshots of Devs talking about banning those people?

That’s literally all I’m asking. If I was going to make the same accusations you are (and wanted the Devs to listen to me and do something about it) I’d be tossing a plethora of data into this thread so they’d be forced to act.

That’s all.

Except we were both very obviously talking about the guy who deleted his comment. So either this is another weak attempt at trolling, or you need to step up your reading comprehension.

Disregard…

You’re not understanding “any” of my many (very pointed) posts here and, due to that, this unfortunately appears to be going nowhere in regards to a civil conversation.

Your argument that “cheaters caught by the anti-cheat shouldn’t be banned until you can prove the existence of cheaters” is so nonsensical it doesn’t even warrant serious consideration.

Very telling that an actual cheater came into this thread to support your idea of not permanently banning cheaters.

Or maybe it was your little brother who still hasn’t learned to write. Now I understand everything, it already has a history haha.

Prove me that proof exist and I believe that proven cheaters aren’t very vocal liars and trolls when they are caught .

Hardware ban is only sensible solutions against dishonesty, will it ever be implemented by AGS, highly doubtful.

I prefer only actual cheaters get a hwid ban, and not just people the community is salty over and mass reports.

I’ve been mass reported, and I can tell you, it’s not a fun time being the victim of someone’s jealousy.

HWID bans would be great. You can spoof them, though it’s not without risk, but as a developer, I can see when that information is spoofed and so can much-better devs than I.

PUBG is proof that HWID bans are necessary, though. They’ve got an open policy that HWID bans don’t apply to SEA regions, and the cheating problem is so out of control that the f2p playerbase plummeted from 400k+ players down to 20k to 80k depending on time of day.
I don’t want to see NW become so overrun, but at the same time, I don’t think it will be. Cheating is very rare in NW. People think cheating is worse than it is, because all the salty kids reporting people for being better than them. Especially when they get stomped by someone offmeta like me.

Exactly. HWID ban players caught by EAC. Should not be a contentious idea.
