Now as we all know because you CM’s have posted it countless times, you have no control over individual bans and potential appeals against them. Be assured, your community understands that. The reason why people still keep posting here about ban cases is because they’re desperate. They are unhappy about the process that takes weeks of their lifetime away for a reason they won’t even get told. The worst is apparently the appeal system which feels more like an illusion than an actual chance to get an unjustified ban reverted.
The current system just feels hostile towards the players. Most players have already experienced one or multiple cases of friends or guild members being permanently banned. Now don’t get me wrong, if they are guilty for cheating, exploiting, etc., swing the banhammer at will. However, with the ban system being as intransparent as it is, a lot of people have the feeling that they can be banned randomly. I for one am afraid of giving musket a try because I fear being mass reported and then permabanned for it. I know other players who even stopped using the chat because others might dislike what they have to say and report them.
I don’t want to make any suggestions as to how you should change the system but you should be aware how legit players feel about it. I think the system does not feel fair, especially when considering how much time, effort and love most players who are still here put into their accounts. Please consider making some changes which show that you respect your community and that everybody will be treated fairly.
This is why I don’t post on global chat, cause they can mass report you literally for saying ‘good morning’ and like you said, after you have a problem you have to deal with, it takes too much time and the contact with the support is awful.
Do you know of anyone who has been banned in the last few days? To the best of my knowledge, these two posts were the the last erroneously banned threads and they both occurred 6 days ago. @chongal was banned and unbanned for the 7th time 7 days ago, and hasn’t been banned since to the best of my knowledge.
For the last server weeks, since the servers merged, usually there was at least one post a day about someone getting unjustly banned. Did they finally change something or is it nothing?
