Absolutely!
You will not use ss, you just wana 30% more dmg on your ga
Hey buddy that’s how it has been working for everyone except sns if I have hatchet great axe all the attributes from the hatchet and the great axe apply even when sheathed.
Attributes yes. Perks no.
One day they will learn that tree or wall counters the ranged players. Actually, never mind. We need these people in opr, so I can triple hit them with grav well and feel good because they never learned that blocking it is an easy counter.
But I am kind of sick of the rock dwellers randomly hitting me, giving me a 5 second slow, and wasting one potion.
I agree that perks like Refreshing, that are tagged with “equipped item” as a condition should apply, but not perks that are tagged with “active item (not sheathed)”, for the sake of consistency. Def cool interaction though, and if they keep it, it would make it a competitive choice compared to the current IG/Rapier off hand meta.
One could argue that aside from heavy, medium and light players are taking a hit to armor to equip a shield and thus losing survivability, as I believe equipping a shield doesn’t allow for you to have an optimal weight set up, causing your to lose armor, even with the additional armor from the shield.
Hahahaha the rock dwellers. Thats awesome. Lol
Yes the attributes apply but NOT the perks. Like chain lightning, keenly jagged etc… those only apply if unsheathed.
Yes!! See thats the tradeoff. People are saying no no this is too op but they forget, you are going to take a hit to your loadout so i just think its great.
it’s great… i can get Infamy with keenly empowered, enchanted for a second time, and keen for a second time.
I mean, think about the musket combinations with six perks… that stack…
meanwhile, bow and rapier are stilllllllllll trash
People forget that there’s a bug where people can stack stats through upgrade and just blame shield for the massive dmg…
Would be nice if this worked on all weapons. But none of the perks should not stack. It would actually give nice variety to weapons you would want because you would not want same perks to be on both weapons. I think it would increase the variety with gear and BIS, because the perks you want on your weapon would depend on your other weapon as well.
S&S would give couple extra perks as which would make it a bit more desireable in dps specs.
well at least you have a shield and can block projectiles.
yeah as long as it doesn’t stack i think its good
which brings up a different point
attribute less support item slot with more perks would be pretty rad.
As an interesting side note on my teams for OPR today there was only person using a shield and they switched it out before the game began.
Bro, it would be nutty
so im going to finally ask… @Kay @Shadow_Fox @Luxendra
Can one of you let us know, are these shield changes intentional? How is this supposed to work? If you want more specific questions, are we supposed to be receiving the weapon perks on the shield when we switch weapons? I’m a healer, if I have a sns equipped and i switch back to the life staff, am i supposed to still be receiving the benefits from the shield perks like refreshing, keen, vicious, keenly jagged? Or is this a mistake? Thank you!
Please, PLEASE do not keep this. I’m a Day 1 tank and this is NOT what SnS needs - this would actually hurt us and represent yet another chapter in what has been an unfortunate and difficult story for tanks in this game.
As a SnS user they should only keep the attribute applying, not the perks. And they should buff the tower shield blocking stability.
They can revert the changes and simply increase the attribute on the sword and remove it from the shield. I don’t know why they are taking the wrong way to fix this
