I can’t stress enough to understand how they can let the servers have populations below 2000 people when the game has no cross-server.
There are fragmented into 10 lobbies each mutations in expeditions which is the End-Game content to progress properly, and all day long there is hopefully only one group for one or two levels, people decide NOT to come in and play because they have no one to play the group game with…
The arenas are fun but it’s the only thing that the queue goes fast and it’s always with the same people it’s awesome that even the OPR’s to get the queue you have to call them via global chat so that someone else will join in since most people know it takes a lot of time to join in.
PLEASE MERGE THE SERVERS. THE POPULATION CAN’T BE BELOW 2000 PLAYERS FOR MORE THAN A WEEK, IT’S BEEN A MONTH NOW.
How is their own failure? You guys wanted these fss and many of us posted exactly what was going to happen within the first month and sure enough. It happened exactly like that. What was AGS supposed to do? Many people flooded the FSS to where they had to open more or people would cry about queues. Then we all knew weeks after many will die which they are.
they make the decisions, it is their failure. easy to blame the cryhards asking for more servers as a way to deflect responsibility and accountability. you see it is AGS product. They could have understood what many of us were saying that FSS would be a flash in the pan and that ‘returning’ players would only stay until they hit 60 and finished the pve content.
So in short Mr Jangles this is 100% the fault of the developers, planners, and public affairs person(s) at AGS. Their game just doesn’t have enough content to keep players engaged and having fun in a lasting way. New World will remain a niche game if AGS can keep the servers running.
Best thing for this trash heap of a game would be for AGS to merge all servers (yes, FSS and legacy) to allow for one - two max - servers per region. There isn’t enough players to keep so many separate servers alive at this time.
But fret not little brother, in a few months there will be another round of FSS to get your copium going again.
I do not understand how they make the same mistakes from the beginning, they are not technical problems, they are analysis problems, they no longer have the excuse of being new to this… And even less when they already had 100% of the errors that can be had in a mmo and they continue solving things as if it never happened…
The Lumberyard engine prevents them from doing this, I believe, although I could be mistaken. It’s also the reason so many dupe exploits happen and server desync etc.
