Remember when AGS promised better communication?
We now have the season delayed yet again and only hinted at though posts about the end of the leader board period being extended.
I think it is more than time for AGS to tell us what is causing the delay and when they expect to be able to resolve the issue.
The way that they are going about it now just feeds fuel in to the perceived dumpster fire that the Dev team is.
ye they only posted the first delay on their twitter aswell.
Sigh, might as well start playing Worlds of Warships again, at least there you know that devs will straight out lie to you (almost) everytime.
I think that is very succinct. AGS please communicate more this lack there of makes people wonder what is going on and feeds the negative memes . It breeds distrust. Also realism in the promised dates would be greatly appreciated and lend more credibility to what you say.
Why do you need to know what is causing the delay? Will it change anything or just make you feel better? What if they dont have an exact date for it to be fixed? Should they just make something up? Some of you could answer your own questions if you just thought for a second.
It will make us all feel better.
The community as a whole has lost almost all confidence in AGS to be able to support their own game.
The way in which they are going about dealing with the delays and the launch of the season makes it feel like they are trying to hide something or that they do not know what is going on.
Neither of those things are good but hiding something from the player base is much worse.
If the issue is with the leader board awards, just make the statement that the rewards will be delivered when the issue is sorted out and launch the season. If the issue is with the season, end the leader board window and do not start a new one until the season starts.
What should they say that they already haven’t?
“We found an issue, were working to resolve the issue, we need to re-test the resolution of that issue, then we release the update. Eta April 4th”
Having them working on the issue is more important then playing forum politics to make impatient gamers happy imo
The learning experience is not to give hard dates I guess since folks lose their minds
I’m actually surprised people believed AGS whey they claimed they can do seasonal content. After 5 months of development and testing, they couldn’t even manage to deploy a leaderboard that worked.
You mention “feelings” a couple of times, why not just stick with facts instead? They said there is a problem. What would they be hiding and for what purpose. Who cares what the problem is, it is obviously bad enough they dont want to release the update. I dont play a game based on “trust” of a company. I play games if they are fun. I couldnt care less about the other b.s. They are not here to talk to me and make me feel better. I am an adult and my life doesnt revolve around a silly video game, therefore none of this bothers me. Try it, its liberating.
No one knows the reason and the lack of facts coming from AGS does not instill confidence.
You must be the most well adjusted person who plays new World. i applaud you. But many of us would like to know what is going on. I genuinely am happy for you that ," none of this bothers me" , but it does bother many of us.

You guys need to learn some patience. I mean slim chance sure but they may even release a statement after explaining themselves. Not that any of you are entitled to an explanation? lol

I dunno man, I think the feelings have merit. I know it’s the current forum meta to psychoanalyze, critical quote and other Asmongold lite behaviors but…. The human experience is emotional. Additionally for a lot of people video games are a passion, not just some factual part of adult life.
But also you can have both things. Factually speaking communication is very important. Also factually AGS has had significant reputation damage since release. If you haven’t felt some of the things mentioned by OP then I doubt you are being true to yourself.
I would “feel” better if they actually confirmed when the issue is resolved. Then give us a date. As it stands now no one believes they will deliver on Tuesday. I would also prefer that they separated out the leaderboard issue from the main patch. This just creates all kinds of misinterpretation.
But you’re also right I can just stuff my feelings down and deal with the facts. I’m sure they will deliver sometime.
The lack of communication? The oh one more day ? The leaderboards running for days longer than originally intended? The lack of valuing the remaining player base? The lack of honesty? The lack of forthrightness? Making players appear un valued? It seems like something people trying to be covert would do.
Yes I expect they will sometime. But how many players will be left? How many players will come back? How many players are saying screw it I am done with is half baked crap?
Just for reference I really , really enjoy New World . I have over 3,900 hours logged and 165 on the PTR . But it is getting harder and harder to defend the Devs ( which they did not ask me to. ) But if I get to the point I can no longer support them ? I to will be done.
What do you think they are lying about and trying to cover up?
General incompetence and glaring lack of smooth workflow?
