Yeah it’s a tough thing to feel out. Which is why I don’t see why you can’t have both… Have temporary fresh start servers instead of permanent ones but hey I’m someone that played since launch and never left, so you can see where I’m coming from. MMORPGs are just not one of those games you can invest a ton of time into and then just abandon all of that work. Continuity I think is really important and making players feel confident that their time invested in their character won’t get thrown away. Not that anything lasts forever but less than a year into the game’s life is tough.

Again, FF totally did it. Other games I believe had more of a soft relaunch and also were successful without wiping everyone’s progress and time invested.

AP server comes when you hit peak numbers and have 1000 player ques. I been back for a week and have not seen the region hit peak players yet.

they dont have to do anything after a copy is sold.
consider everything is extra free, then you would be grateful

Wait didn’t I buy my personal slaves who are expected to serve me 24/7? I paid 40€/20€ bro, they should have my sculpture at home instead of a TV ! They have no right to sleep or have free weekend until I can play !

If they do fresh start servers you best believe they’re gonna do a big announcement and give people time to plan.

How do you compare wow, what will happen with wow will happen, after the nostalgia they will be forgotten.
if they had put new transfer-locked servers, we would still have servers with queues.
If you want to feel again the feeling of the first time that new world came out, I have bad news for you, even if new servers come out you will never feel the same again, since the only thing you will have is the feeling that I felt the first day, then you will leave the pj forgotten and that server will have to be merged because the nostalgic veterans came up with the idea of creating a new pj out of nostalgia.

We don’t need new servers till the existing servers are full. All of them. Maybe you play on a full server but mine is dead.

US east is nothing but ques during prime time.

We need new servers period. So do other ones.

I cannot speak for yours personally, but the lowest pop server currently seems to be eldorado, with 1700 players at peak. Is that yours?

I’ve been logging in less and less, mostly just doing my daily chores, which historically is the precursor to stop playing altogether.

Seems this late-alpha testing is going about as expected still?

To be fair… AGS’s track record for getting in trouble for the above is PRETTY impressive so I wish they’d just plain stop listening to the whiney majority…

That said… it "is kind of sad that the did “1” but not “2” :frowning:

All you’re going to end up with is a brand new server with people that transfer over with a metric effton of duped (or legally gotten / who knows anymore…) coins which will immediately detonate the economy before it even gets a chance to get its legs under it.

It’s a bit depressing :frowning:

I’m already on Orofena, in your local OPR building bases to make angry faces.

Having good people is definitely a major boost to the gameplay experience, but even then it begins to wear out since the gameplay itself lacks depth.

Well you can continue playing you ultra-powerful baby seal clubbing character on the old servers. And others who want to experience the game away from the gear carried through exploits players. Can go play on fresh start servers.

Fresh start servers wouldn’t be needed, if AGS didn’t allow the exploiters and cheaters snowball the game with impunity. But here we are in a hopeless situation of “Nice Guys Finishing Last”. Very few will subject themselves to getting gear stomped by someone who has 2k or more hours of gear and economic advantages over them.
