They wont remove tuning orbs. The reason why they wont is because there is a cap on how many expeditions can be run at one time, just like how there is only 3 OPRs running only at once.

We should be able to sell them on the market 
The marketplace is not where access to dungeons should be. Players do not own the dungeon, they cannot and should not be able to charge a toll just to access the content within.

I honestly think it’s a technical issue as someone else has mentioned, I thought for a while they were going to sell them I’m there store (which honestly that’s okay, just sell em already), but it seems with the massive server transfers that happened recently, it appears there is a technical limitation on expeditions and they are likely a way to prevent everyone from running them at once.
I see so many chat messages where people pay gold to “join” the expedition, why is it so different to selling in the shop?

I totally agree with above aswell, orb system needs to go and input a LFG, where new players and solo players can feel more into the game and community.
On my server in chat there was a player that payed for an m6 dungeon, pay group leader 4500g for a spot and when he got invited, the group kicked him out and take the money, even though that player ask to get the money back, no refound.
So you see AGS this isent an good system at all, people abuse it and takes other players money and those players that payed have no security of hold there spot in the group.

I think the orbs are going to be fine now. You will be able to buy a regular laz or gen once a day, and a mutated orb every 3 days. You will also be able to craft a few more. A full M10 orb is going for 15k on Orun. I doubt anyone is charging more than 1k for regular laz or gen, so you will break even if you want to spam dungeons all day to increase your expertise.
Using the economy to validate the existence of an unnecessary gate to the game’s content is a terrible way to validate the existence of these items. I am still waiting for people to come up with a reason why we need these stupid orbs that don’t boil back down to economics and wealth.
These keys have got to be removed from the game, they have done nothing but split the community in unnecessary ways with people using loopholes to garner economic wealth from them. They’re bind on pickup; they shouldn’t be able to be used in economic transactions.

They won’t remove tuning orbs. That’s a stance AGS is gonna die on, they will make it easier to craft but they will never remove it. That’s the feeling I get from their replies.
Well, according to the staff the majority os players “want” tuning orbs xD Maybe they missed this thread.
That is why I refuse to play this game any further. But I feel like I must come here to express my will to see this removed. no other way

Was this the thread or was it another one that even has a poll showing most want then removed? Hey if they keep them they keep them but call it what it is at least. You will have strong opinions for them on these forums and strong against but the numbers definitely seem against them.
I initially thought it was related to monitizimg them, which I’m fine with, just tell us and add them to the shop. But I think what really came out of the server transfers is that it likely is a technical issue. They can’t handle having too many expeditions running at once so this may be a way to limit it?
honestly at this point orbs are an after thought for me and the company i’m in since they have reduced the cd’s so much from when this thread first started
Definitely more bearable at this point which is nice.
There was another thread that was straight up removed on this very topic that had over 700 responses to it. The devs have got to swallow their pride and just remove this garbage from the game, it only adds additional friction to playing the game’s content versus anything else.
