Yeah I don’t understand the tank argument but always down to hear it. You can be good on point if you make a good build. If I can hang out on or near point as a vg/ig support mage I don’t know what the issue is, tbh. It’s not meta but you can make something slick.

Ig/vg is only for support. Bugged as hell. Neglected. Homing on blade isn’t the same as melee. Bias is real. Firestaff is in the recycle bin.

The mods even went as far as to answer and pass on to the devs the “Remove fart noise” thread and still refuse to answer not one legit thread about Firestaff issues so that just says everything right there what they think about the Firestaff.

Idk. Failure to address the community when a lot of them make real, mature - complaints is kind of weird. So many threads out there. Not talking about my meme post.

You mean the easiest build in the game?

I also tank and know how to put together a good PvE or PvP build. The supposed tank issue a guy brought up earlier pales in comparison to mage issues. I PvP IG/VG - bruiser - healer - and dex as well, but not very often.

PvE I stopped doing mage altogether. Melee is the way. No slash/strike/thrust resistant dungeons! But mutators have plenty of mage resistances, with no acknowledgement from the developers on this bias.

I was literally just about to make a post. I always play a Mage or some sort of Ranged in MMOs. PVE when farming outside of expeditions, or even in expeditions has been “fine” for me. However, in PVP there’s literally no point. In OPR I just farm materials and take objectives because I tickle everyone and get 1-3 shot usually by a heavy armor user who has endless dashes/cc/speed or a bow user who has way better ranged abilities AND does way more damage. It’s extremely, extremely frustrating. It’s been a very long time now, Mages need a rework or some sort of buff. Mages shouldn’t be connected with a fireball crit for 1-2k damage and critting for 1-1.5k on their auto attacks. To light ranged users, SOMETIMES I’ll do over 2k (well over 300 int). Considering players have well over 10k HP most of the time this damage is ridiculously bad. We’re supposed to cc? IG has 2 abilities with long cooldowns that smart players can just dodge out of. It’s blatantly bad to play a mage. Melee is just champ.

If you struggle as a fire mage in PvP, that is on you. They can hit like a truck in PvP, PvE they are all but useless in higher mutations. Seriously do not understand how you can complain about mage, IG or FS in PvP

I literally crit level 60 deers for 2500. get out.

@ Legendairy WE complain because if you play FS/IG in pvp it’s full of bugs. Weapon locks, animation stuns, roots to the ground that don’t cancel, fireballs that diappear or deal 0 damage, Ice storm is casting on top of us, pillar casting on top of us… do you even read these threads before you post? It’s literally broken and the devs are aware of it now and working on fixes. If they would fix all these bugs and do a rework I promise you we will stop using Flamethrower, but until then it’s literally ALL WE HAVE.

They need to buff both. Bulky melee roles shouldnt be limited to 300 str and mages should be rewarded for playing closer than dex. Either in additional damage (eh) or additional slipperyness/mitigation so they can continue to fight there.

I have not seen nerf to mages for past week, can we do something about it pls?

I agree fully, especially at how mages are forced to play closer than dex
