Void does everything too well. It has too many utilities
Healers can melee dps you out, self heal + scream and void blade does immense damage.
If you are below 50% health and you get scream’d, that’s a guarantee 3 second root and freedom does not reduce it.
It does ranged DPS well, oblivion is bigger than sacred ground.
You can’t move out of the root at all, whatsoever. The animation of the scream is also instantaneous.
Literally, if you fight a group and you get rooted, you are most likely to die if there are 3+ people around you.’
EDIT: The nerf of GA in turned allowed for any VG/ Mage combo to allow for almost guarantee’d kites. There are no melee weapons that can catch up at all.
Yes, you can charge on them, then you get rooted, they roll away, they apply ice storm on your w/ ice wall for one-shot mechanic with ice spike. Or they can root you, burn their fire staff dmg or just burn out away.
Then you have VG w/ Rapier. Guarantee’d root + oblivion on you which affected your self healing during those seconds. Then they can fleche away or further burst and then fleche/evade or riposte away.
VG w/ Lifestaff means self sustainability. Root, move away, oblivion, sacred ground on themselves while they go void blade and burn you down (Void blade lunges much further than GA
Great axe did literally everything, now void does literally everything but better than the great axe did it.
AGS Wants a noob weapon that lets johnny sub 30 IQ compete. Its pretty obvious. Once void gets nerfed another weapon will come out or something will get buffed to do everything in the game because again, johnny sub 30 IQ needs to get some kills too.
I have no trouble dodging and out running a void user. Then again i can dodge a great axe user that is chasing me without even looking based on the sound of the skill used. There is a front-loaded delay with the animation of the player leaning in to scream that you can for sure dodge away from at least in light armor.
But yea cc reductions need to work on that skill at the very least.
I think OPR is fine. Usually see good matches with varying weapons. Rewards are great, especially with the new gypsum drops - and it only takes two per day!
