Going to keep this post going until they lock or respond.
The best thing solo players can do against this nonsense. Is to completely stop queuing for 3v3 and OPR. If no solo player queues for these stomps. AGS will see people are even less interested in premade Pub stomp. And AGS will add an option where players can only solo queue. Or the premade groups lose their content of easy mode wins.
Complaining about the situation while doing nothing. Will achieve nothing but the continuation of the status quo.
This. You can literally make calls on with your group even without a stack. Even if they say nothing they dam sure can hear you lol
Bump so AGS has to admit they hate PVP players. Otherwise they would address LITERALLY ANY post about PVP in this game.
Maybe if I post a squid picture they’ll show up…
The reason AGS isn’t weighing in or replying to any of these topics is because of how divided the forums are on this topic.
I read through message 40/80ish.
I can see both points of view. (I won’t mention my personal opinion here because what’s the point)
For groups: social game, practice for war, MMO, encouraging group play increases player retention, it would be challenging/more work for AGS to change this status quo.
Against group: lots of unbalanced endings, other related issues are exacerbated like use of Bow/Range to at least get 3000 points for full rewards
The difference is, if it is not addressed, less and less people will queue for OPR and player retention drops. I know I queue a lot less these days and most people in the army chat are the same, they join, get their 500 points for gypsum twice, and walk away.
If it is addressed, those pre-made stacks will still queue because they need it. They still want to practice PVP and it is dead in the open world. So the only way to practice for a war is to be in a game mode with lots of PVP opponents.
AGS doesn’t even answer. And it’s not just on this issue. They refuse to acknowledge all the PVP related threads. They simply hate PVP players.
If premade groups are causing such havoc, can’t you just hire one of those supposedly indestructible lifestaff players to solo that group for you?
bump. irrational matchmaking always frustating when youre a solo player end up fighting bunch of premade groups as enemies
Life staff is overpowered, but it will do nothing against a pre-made because the pre-made knows to just run past and sit on the point.
Gorcha. So it’s completely impossible to beat a single premade group with the entire 30-40 people on the other team.
Noted.
The fact that you think there are 30-40 people on each team tells me you don’t even play OPR and just wanna be negative.
Honestly was just a typo. Thinking 30 to 40 people total (half on each side). My point remains though.
Also… OPR is all about team play. If a single group (on one side) is beating the unholy crap out of the entire rest of the other team… I personally feel that’s excellent teamwork on their part and they deserve the win.
Just my 2 coins worth. ![]()
Your 2 coins are denominated in Venezuelan bolivar. The upfront issues from premades are their hive mind thinking and coordination. Now that’s not exactly the end of the world (it almost is) but the biggest issue comes in the skewed allocation of solo players. The 5 stack premade already has its 5 good 620+GS players and then room for another 15 players that may or may not be 600+.
The other side of 20 pugs is all chaotic, which is how it should be. It simply ruins the chaotic allocation of solo players.
Lets do some bull shxt math here. Assuming that for every player that is 622gs+ there are 3 players that are 600gs or below with less than decent perks. The 20 solo players have 5 players 622+GS and 15 that are Average 600gs.
The side with the 5 stack premade get 8 players with 622+GS and 12 players with 600 average gs. That’s not just 3 more BIS players on their side it’s also 3 less newbs you have to carry.
The end result is a team that can never be rolled over, they will constantly hold tripple cap with the exception of a few points being captured from the enemy team being occupied spawn camping.
There needs to be balance in premades and that comes in the form of completely giving them their own game mode and keeping them out of solo que modes OR some sort of limited player cap on their side of the team, something like reduce player cap to 17 or 18 from 20.
This is a thing in many matchmaking systems but I don’t think the server player counts are large enough to support two different opr queues.
Best compromise would probably be introducing a balance system.
Imo bow spam & minecraft squads are far more annoying than good premades anyways.
You are basically asking for a league system to separate players properly match them properly.
This is actually the correct answer, BUT it is also impossible to implement.
How does the queue tell who is a casual and who is competitive?
You need to assign a score to players.
But how to assign a score? Based on what? How to calculate it? How accurate will it be? Can it be manipulated?
The very nature of the game mode means that it’s probably impossible. if it is possible it’d probably be pretty damned convoluted and unreliable.
well this, and get rid of premades. lol.
or have a solo’s only mode
I would say skill based match making but there are highly skilled people that would still be hurting. with the system as it is in place.
with teams for balance there should only be 1 healer allowed per party. and if the sides are not equally balanced the teams should be split.
that is if there are 30 ppl then both sides start with 15 even ifs need to be split instead of 12 18
and if there are 9 heals on one side and 1 heal on the other side… another big issue. four of those heals need to be split and put on the other team.
you literally do see people advertising for a pocket healer for opr. that healer is just guarding one person and making them unkillable. that’s not balance.
and it also seems to me like there is win trading going on. I don’t have proof… but I’ve been in teams where I know there are premades and they sit back and lose some matches and other matches they gung ho and win quick. it’s suss. having more random no parties would also solve this I think.
well they currently are. on ygg there is three or four opr matches at any given time in normal hours. and if it did get hard to q for one or other other the teams would come to the solos que as solos which is all anyone is asking for.
plus if the balance issue were actually addressed more people would play opr.
the other day a lot of obviously new and returning players flooded into oprs. there was a couple days of no names I recognized. they got murdered… absolutely massacred against these teams. a couple days later… it’s back to only recognizable names.
those people would probably still be playing if they hadn’t been up against war turtles
