History shows there is a subset of PvP players who will grief and gank disadvantaged players all day. The rosy suggestion of extra luck when gathering PvP flagged was a ruse.
The true goal: provide an easy prone target who will take 2 or more hard hits while stuck in a gathering animation and give the PvPer their quick thrill.
Check your logs. Pvpers have not become gatherers, they are just able to gank gatherers now.
Prediction: The next cry will be for T5 crafting stations in an open world PvP only area. Not because the PvPers want to craft there, but because the one thing more thrilling than killing a gathererer, is killing a crafter in a menu screen.

The optional tier 5 station in open world that only works in pvp would be so fun, actual great idea. Actual gameplay point for companies to group up and fight for station control, alliances with other factions for help. Imagine the possibilities, like that station would be different from others and give a special buff or something, they should look into that theres some fun there
You can’t gank someone that doesn’t have to flag. If they are flagged for pvp they are inviting player to player combat. Whats so hard to understand about this.
Its totally optional, nobody is forced into anything.

That’s a ridiculous statement. At what point to you consider it no longer optional? I mean 30% (current)? 60%? 1,000%? At some point, even the rabid gank squad has to admit, the flagging goes from optional to required for the serious gatherer.
On another note. if the top tier ranked crafting material were no-drop and required PvP flagging… would you still be in here defending that flagging is “optional?”
No it doesn’t, you can just stay unflagged and wear all luck gear and you’ll be fine… You can’t wear luck gear and get pvp bonus and not have to fight anyone all for zero risk. Just don’t flag, and enjoy your gathering, it’ll be fine.
No it is not optional, the 30% makes to much of a difference if you like to be relevant in gathering/ farming and selling and even crafting. Will this make me flag up ? Yes. Will this make me “pvp” in OR and what not ? No. So what pvp will you get from it, the occasional kill at a node. That’s it.
No bamboozle, just PVP flag.
If you flag for something you’re not good at, prepared for, mentally fit for, have a proper build for, etc…YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.
Stop being a victim…I dont care how good the reward is, you dont get it if you cant handle the responsibility.
Instead of being “blameless” and placing 100% of the fault on pvp players, recognize YOUR toxicity by doing something you cant do then coming here to complain

Cross that bridge when we get there, what we are talking about today is none of that, and yes its completely optional. Nobody is being forced into anything. I get that some people feel forced, but feeling forced and being forced are two very, very different things.

Real PvPers play games where actual skills are involved like MOBAs and FPS like COD.
The ones that play MORPGs are just a fraud, they are sheeps disguised as wolves.
They are not really interested in fighting someone who might kick their arse, it’s better be safe and hunt people who are not geared for PvP or just not really interested in it.

its more about the thrill of sneaking aorund gathering with your flag on, if u dont like it do0nt flag, you get the same outcome as before. why complain about somethin so irrelevant?
