it is but a simple question so why are you overly offended? Hopefully I didn’t struck a nerve because this nerf fiesta has only made the game more boring and worse. Nerfing the least used weapon in the game won’t solve its problems afterall.
How can people even play with low graphics… it looks like dog****.
We do not add a minimap so payers can experience and enjoy our beautiful world rather than just looking at circle in the top right corner.
AGS when reasoning about minimap and overwolf.
- Make it against ToS to use 3rd party software to intentionally edit how game looks and thus have an advantage over other players. Just like Overwolf was banned a few months ago.
- Make the risk of hacking higher by increasing the ban duration for people who break ToS, not only for 2 days but till the end of time.
- Have a system that tracks players headshot ratio. A person with 99%hs in OPR is kinda sus and perhaps his activity should be reviewed manually if it slipped off the anti-cheat.
I have talked about this many times in the past. Nerfing is a vital part to game balance. Anyone advocating for “don’t nerf, just buff” lacks any level of intellectual capability.
As class (systems) designers we are not in the mood nor to we have the time to buff 1000 things just to solve the problem of one overtuned ability. This logic will end to every ability 1 shotting in the game and the development team wasting huge amounts of time and money just because you dont like that your class gets nerfs.
This is by far not true. I see many muskets every opr and war. I would need some statement from the ags designers, or some api-pulled data to prove that musket is the least played weapon. I’d actually argue its more likely something like rapier, or sword.
By many you mean a 5-man team in a 50v50 game mode right? All of what you claim varies from server to server, not every server has an OPR with 10 muskets or so you claim. You’ve only ever played in the Western servers afterall, you can’t speak for all servers ![]()
Wars field 10-20 man musket teams. Generally its 15. They are the anti-siege. I have seen war parties that have musket groups they field consistently the entire war, were others just use them to kill siege.
Even a 5 man musket team in opr is 25% of a teams total population in that specific game. If we measure this to rapier, especially if we consider ones that use the left tree, rapiers almost don’t exist.
This is only per your region’s standards, this does not make up the rest of the game’s population. Wars in the AP-Southeast region have 5 man-musket max not 10, certainly not 15.
Also, 25% is considered a minority compared to 75% of the population in the OPR ![]()
every game i was using a gun similar to a sniper rifle, the game had a breathing mechanics, so if you aim your corsair is going slowly up and down, but while you doing shoot, you need to stop your breath for a few sec and shot, if you dont, the corsair is moving up and down much more faster, also the same with moving, at new world you can walk and still give perfect shoot without any issue. Range for sniper riffle is also not unlimited like in new world the distance should be capped.
another thing is shooting throught the grass, the most stupid thing ever is that if you hide behind bush, and somone put his corsair on you even if he dont see your body, your name will po up to him, so he can shot, it should be changed.
With that logic, external aimbots that scan your screen aren’t either modifying your client/game files, and they still provide unfair advantage.
No one that is using settings like this is going to just accidentally walk into that.
They(you) most likely will be far away from the big fight anyway. On a rock. Shooting.
With your logic which is directly cheating (because aimbot) is a software that “aims” for you, it plays the game for you. Changing graphics settings does not play the game for you, just because you can see things in lower quality does not automatically guarantee any advantages. With an aimbot you can guarantee shots to land, what is this logic you’re using lol
This IS capped, Musket max range is 125m, in other FPS games which I’ll give you a good reference (PUBG) For example, sniper rifles can shoot upto 500-1000 meters (yes, THAT FAR) and we’re talking guns with bullet drop. So even if Bullet drop was to be integrated in this game, it’s not going to be worth shooting the same guy that far because they don’t get one-shot headshotted. It takes multiple headshots to kill a player with the Musket in new world (and nobody can land multiple headshots in a row on an actively moving/dodging target) They can however, land multiple body shots that could end up critting and people would think it’s a headshot and call aimbot lmfao.
Well, don’t blame the players, blame the game. AGS designed the Musket for that range and its kit doesn’t support close/mid-range combat as efficiently. Skilled players however, can make it work but not everyone that picks up a Musket can effectively play it close/midrange and that is the problem. If you guys don’t want a weapon “designed” for long-range to excel at long-range then have it be reworked to work at mid-range? Rework Lethal combo under trapper tree to reduce reload time by 50% (so that players can choose to use this instead of a 3x zoom at 15% headshot bonus dmg) and play mid-range, as well as special shots being usable while moving because might as well take a free fire-ball to the face while you’re overloading your shot am I right?
I have nothing bad to say about the musket itself LOL.
Super hard deflection.
So, going back to the real topic… aimbots… Solutions?!
does that matter if you are 100m away and safe from most spells?
proper detection and proper punishment?
that should be the first step.
lol again the same old talk, you can lower your graphics w/o nvidia inspector if you know how and be honest, if people think hitscan and bullet drop will solve aimbot then we should close this thread instantly cause it’s like explaining gravity to a baby.
Oh and @Dude I know you will come at me again with “You can’t to it without breaking Nvidia/AMD TOS” I answer that rn: I don’t care about them. What I do to my hardware/BIOS is my stuff.
It does because not everyone is playing a Musket? So why are you using only the Musket as perspective in this case when it should be “regardless of what weapon” is being used.
You’re absolutely right, your hardware, your settings. Ain’t nobody gonna tell you how you want to set your own settings, you go on and have fun with it.
i mean aimbots and muskets go hand in hand and op is referencing the musket. etc etc etc
I mean, that’s true but that doesn’t mean you balance around factors that aren’t even in the game. I’ve said this before, I’ll say it again, if you want true balance you have to find an equilibrium amongst majority of the playerbase, and the musket has a high-skill barrier of entry. Not everyone who picks it up can effectively immediately become a sniping god.
Good aim isn’t something you get overnight or over a few weeks of playtime, it can take thousands of hours of practice to get good muscle memory.
And yet here we have, a bunch of threads crying about aimbot but none of them have really proven the players they accuse of such are actually cheating. They are PURELY speculation, these hackers exist but not as “prevalent” as these people in the forums believe them to be.
