All I want for Christmas is EAC enabled for Proton so that us Linux users can play the game without installing a second OS.

Ah yes give cheat developers the option to get around an anticheat at user mode level instead of one at kernel level.

Linux EAC is gonna be a steam deck option and no good company is gonna support it for anything PC ever.
Hate to break it to you, but as someone who is already playing NW on Linux using a Windows VM proton compatibility has no effect on exploit development. It just makes the game available to a technical audience that many devlelopers have lauded for their helpful feedback and debugging.
