Allow players to sell house is one of the best way to combat dominating company

Currently, my server has one dominating group splitting into 3 different companies (but they’re on the same side). They controlling WW, EF, and RW. They also give away territories to their allies. They made a lot of money and bought out all the good stuff on market.
Many people bought houses in WW and EF, some people tried to buy houses elsewhere but in this server, war is a constant thing, nobody know for sure when their territory is gonna get taken.
Dominating company also threw away their territory just to invite more people into their faction. They were confident they can take it back, and they’re right.
Right now, it’s either join them or lose out territory benefit. This game doesn’t give a lot of option for players to fight against long-term dominating company. Honestly, I am debating server transfer at this point.

Okay, and how does selling your house alleviate any of that?

Not paying the 20% tax to them
But yeah that probably goes beyond money

The game really struggles on any incentetive to be an underdog at the moment ( and the longer it goes , the more pointless it gets ) , or to start a new company or to do whatever war /territory control wise if you are already not dominating , so far all systems just scream " LOL LOSER GET ON THE WINNING SIDE . xept u cant unless u just fuck off from the server " . The experience is sooo vastly differs on servers where 2-3 companies on different faction are actually battling. those servers are aiive and actually fun , than on servers where 1 big dog just swallowed everything and none left even close to compete so the server is just slowly dying off really.

Big towns only make more money from player housing. All other taxes are good but players only spend time where there houses are usually. I spend more time in BW but the tax money for ef house goes to ef. Also I don’t have 20k to buy a new one.

Things change, and you would rather have your main crafting hub in another town. Or only want to pay taxes to your own faction.
Throwing away the initial investment of the home purchase deters any town mobility. homes should be about paying taxes, not the initial investment.

Sure, guys, but OP presented a scenario where this company and its allies control the map. So anywhere you buy the house you’re still screwed.

Not paying your taxes would accomplish the same thing in this case.

They actually left the outer maps to the other two factions to fight over, so there are a lot of wars going on. Moving houses help me avoid paying taxes to the dominating faction, since my faction is currently still owning some outer layer maps.

Game:

  1. Dupe to get ahead
  2. Exploit to win wars
  3. Use over taxed coin proceeds to manipulate they market and roll all the bis gear
  4. Cheat, aimbot, all the above to maintain ownership
  5. Along the way con others, control who gets into wars, if someone start to get strong make sure you have their war thrown, down let others in invasions as well, be extra toxic and non inclusive to the player base
  6. Enjoy endless coin- Amazon game don’t want attackers to have a chance, defensive spawn right were you want to be, attacking siege does nothing

My point is a lot of towns are more profitable than other simply from decisions made before the patch that introduced linked trading. Now that it doesn’t matter these players are stuck paying a dominating faction. This allows more territories to be valuable. This way a company could own RW and not be stuck without the income everfall gets.

The 5-20k payment on a house feels more rented as you can’t resell the thing so why is the deposit so high? Making houses movable combats everfall and windward owners abusing the money earned from the territories and give neighboring companies a fighting chance to upgrade their forts.
