Almost 4k hours played. You need to address rolling (aka light armor dodge) in pvp

So you guys figured out that sister companies were killing server health and either you saw my post or not the changes were just what I suggested. Thanks regardless, and hopefully this too won’t fall on deaf ears.

So pvp and rolling; This has been a issue since launch at least(probably further) and if it’s not fixed then any modifications done to weapons won’t matter. I believe you were on the right track with nerfing stamina regen and adjusting hit recovery for different armor types. But the effects were not hard enough and you stopped before either were very effective. Imho there should also be NO stamina recovery during and maybe even a little after hit recovery time for light armor. A guy in light armor who just got smacked with a hammer isn’t gonna be able to catch his breath that easy right? Or there should be no dodging during hit recovery time and maybe a little after. Honestly I think no stam recovery would be fine but would test either.

I know there has to be a balance between pve, leveling, pvp, and expeditions. I get that. But this much rolling isn’t needed for any of those game modes and even if so… it wouldn’t really effect anything heavily outside of pvp.

This would go a long way in making heavy armor more viable and rollie pollies less dominant which is surely a good start to better balance of pvp and more variety of player specs. And I truly believe this should be a higher priority than ‘weapon balancing’ because no matter what weapon you use… rolling will always be an issue…

Good luck, and here’s to hopping something is done about this or pvp is definitely low on my agenda.

Sincerely, a player with 4k hours and 164 days played time.

they already nerfed it in the ground, now if you keep having problem with it may be a YOU problem, not a game problem.

sincerely a player with 3,5k hours.
(like it should matter something anyway, you could even play 10k hours and still dont grasp game mechanics so idk  )

4k hours and you’re trying to chase light players with a hammer? If you’re having problems catching light on the current patch, it’s def your kit.

just adapt to the meta. ags isnt going to adjust light armor.

Hello @shadowx582 and thank you all for your input,

I understand the points you make but these are not really something that we can tweak from the support perpective, as it is working as should be. Please remember though, you that you can share your thoughts and feelings in the Feedback section of the forums or you can also submit your valuable feedback In-Game by doing the following:

1- Press “Esc”, select Game Menu, and then Submit Feedback.
2- Provide a description of the feedback, rate your experience, and then select Submit.

Hope this helps and see you in Aeternum! :wolf:

Will do, thanks

Light armor has never been the problem and it was hit hard recently.

Some classes can only play in light, while melee can shine in any armor weight

However, why do you still see the same builds use it effectively? One reason: move speed

To many weapons have skills or passive that instantly give them 20+ MS like it’s nothing. Put a cap on move speed and make it have a cool down i.e, similar to the FS 10% ms for 5 seconds @ 10 sec CD.

Weapons that need a huge nerf to MS (including bugs)

  • Bow
  • Hatchet
  • Greataxe
  • S&S
  • Musket
  • Great sword

Put a hard 15% cap to MS and add downtimes.

Movementspeed, light armor or whatever was never a problem for “skilled” Player. AGS just reduced the Skill in PvP again. After 4k hours and with the recent Patch to light armor you should now have No Problem to Catch and kill them. If you still got problems, it’s a you problem.

I seriously disagree with this, heavy armor great sword is a meta already. A light armor player cant go hit for hit against anyone in heavy so they need to be able to escape. Nerfing light armor mobility will make it just pointless to play unless ur a musketeer or healer.

Maybe except for bow. Add more movement speed for bow:)

Nailed it.

Seems like for some people 4k is still not enough time of practice
