Hi AGS,
I frequently equip the Great Axe and Fire Staff when I intend to do a lot of running between towns, in order to use the Great Axe’s “Charge” and Fire Staff’s “Burn Out” actions to move faster.
However, both of these have ending animations, and in the case of the FS a starting animation, that slow down travelling. I realise these are neccessary for PvP, but I’d like to make a small suggestion that would help PvE players get around without (hopefully) affecting PvP.
Also, this suggestion only applies when out of combat, and the cool-downs remain the same.
My suggestion is this: when the action button is held, rather than tapped, these actions have slightly different effects as follows:
Great Axe - the charge doesn’t have an end animation, no enemies are damaged, you just transition to normal running speed without interruption.
Fire Staff - the starting animation is shorter, and the player doesn’t set fire to or damage any creature/person he travels through. There is no ending animation and you just transition to normal running speed.
These small changes would make for easier exploration of the world, at least for me.
