You’ve had to do some pve but you had choices. Maybe this person wants to focus on furnishing to make trophies for themselves. And maybe another person likes to focus in jewelcrafting and arcana to equip themselves. They weren’t all forced to do the exact thing over and over again to gear themselves up.
Mmm no I meant in general the players you were talking about weren’t forced to PvX they wanted to pvp for some land. Sure there may have been a few pve players that were coherced into pvping but with how pve players are, I can assure you that number is far less then how many pvpers were forced to do pve.
They switched gears to a PvX game, not a PvE game. So the same issue is accuring with PvE players not understanding why there’s pvp in this game.
They wanted Land, thats where you are right. And since the only Option to achieve that they have to PVP.
Doesnt make War-Lagfest, where the better Exploiter wins any fun.
Just Look at OPR, People arent even playing it for Gypsum, Most PVP Players arent even playing it for Gypsum.
New World PVP is Dead, Meta is Exploits.
Nobody but Exploiters Play PVP those days.
Lol okay so since some pvp mechanics had exploits that means pvp is dead. Why weren’t you out here spoutting that PvE was dead when people were cheesing chest runs and bosses?
From your statements as I understand it you’re okay with completely forcing player progression through one point. This means crafting will be meh and pvp progression is a big fat zero? Well let’s hope that the next update is arenas and that expertise goes up to 650 using “git guy shards” that are only acquirable through pvp arenas.
You kinda still had to do genesis and Laz. They also announced at this point over a month ago they’d scale down gearscore to the average expertise and you’d need to raise it doing PvE tasks so I don’t understand.
PVX implies it has both PvE and PvP elements. PvP is the core of the game with town ownership and open world. PvE elements in the form of questing/dungeons and gathering.
You’re missing the point though, why is there a fuss for having to do PVE elements in a PVX game when since the launch of the game it has been the case.
I think you’re speaking out of your lane, you don’t know what PvE biased players don’t understand or understand.
From me being a player that runs flagged/OPR/wars and dungeons I knew what the game was about prior to my purchase and early October. I had to do PVE elements to be viable in PvP elements.
I’m fine With Arenas giving Shards when Territorys can be taken doing PVE.
Both will never Happen.
Also you dont have a Problem With unique PVP Rewards, you Just come Here crying when its Not PVP profiting the Most for once.
Oh I’m not mad about having to do pve my issue lies with it being a sandbox and them taking away choices for progression. Crafting has been basically taken out of the mix since you can’t just roll 625 gear. You hardly get shards when you roll a 600 item and only 600 items. There’s no pvp progression at all with the current system. It’s taken the choice out of the sandbox. I mean the whole reason they allowed crafters to be able to make and equip their crafted 600 gs items at 600 was because the players told them it took the choice away. Yet we are here again. I imagine that’s why we have been seeing so many complaints as of late because of the patch.
There is a fuss because up until this patch certain content was optional, you weren’t required to do it to have the best gear or remain competitive. If someone wanted to just craft and earn gold and buy gear, they could do that. If you didn’t want to just spam dungeons or run elite chest runs you were able to buy your gear at 600. Essentially with this change they’ve completely put that player base at a disadvantage and now they feel forced into something they don’t enjoy doing.
We all know that there is PvE required in an MMORPG, that’s a given and I think everyone understands that it’s needed to reach end game. But forcing players into a form of content they don’t enjoy for the sole purpose of making them run on a progression treadmill is bad for the game and the community and serves no purpose other than to attempt to prolong content until another update.
Their game, their rules. Not yours. Only because you think people should have the choice to do either dungeons or pvp for umbral it’s not what they HAVE to do because you think like that. You paid 40, got a lot of fun for this, now it’s time to walk on or accept the game like they want it to be.
That’s absolutely false, that’s exactly what the forums are for and why they have community managers, they’re interacting with the community to listen to feedback and improve the game. Or at least that’s the purpose. It’s NOT just one person making this suggestion it’s a very large group of people not happy with the change. If enough people want the change it’ll eventually happen, but it wouldn’t happen if there was no feedback.
Sure, my money, my time…
You are delusional if you think a game studio can survive without keeping in touch with their community… but hey I agree with you their game their rules! time to walk away… and walk away we did!
It should be said that the difference in power between 625 and 615 is minute at best, similar to getting keen on a weapon like great axe after having thwarting which you can lock in, when you factor in the expected defense of resilience. If you do the math, you’ll quickly realize the power gain by being totally sweaty in this game, isnt too far from what you get by playing casually.
It is important to have things you don’t have yet, to look forward to. Look at mutations as exciting new content you can have fun playing, while feeling like you are progressing. However if you are losing wars, or 1v1s, it’s not because they are 625 and you are 615, or even 600. Casually playing mutations at the same pace of people sweating hard, will put you at less than a 5% disavantage in all reality.
I didn’t say they can, but you are delusional if you think people prefer pvp over pve in 2022.
That depends on game’s genre… but if mmos is what you mean then yes… the pve crowd is bigger
Same old same old crying. Hate to break it to you but you paid for a game marketed and sold as a PvX game. Be prepared to PvE before enjoying decent PVP comes with the territory unfortunately. Nothing that hasn’t been said a million times already.
correct. this means you can go play a pvp game if you only want to pvp. mmos at their core are pve, crafting and pvp. if you don’t want to do all three then you are not a mmo player.
It is. I am not sure if its scaling or just compounding factors but fighting a 5v5 vs 610s when your squad is 600s is drastically more difficult than fighting 600s as 590s (which was fairly even)
