Continuing the discussion from [Notice] Fresh Start World and Return to Aeternum World Merges for All Regions - December 6th, 2022:

[quote=“Aenwyn, post:1, topic:802797”]
In regards to the Return to Aeternum worlds — when these worlds were initially opened to the general player base our intention was to treat them as Fresh Start Worlds. Upon further review of the experience of both the Return to Aeternum event as well as the unique experience these servers had with their respective player bases, we have made the decision to instead merge these worlds into Legacy worlds as opposed to Fresh Start Worlds. For transparency, we believe that due to the nature and focus of Return to Aeternum worlds to accomplish specific goals, they’re now more in line with the Legacy worlds and merging into Fresh Start Worlds would negatively impact those worlds and economies. *****we understand that this isn’t aligned with what we previously stated, but believe this will provide for a better player experience

based in what?!!?!?!?

how the fuck our economy is bigger than other fresh starts, if we can’t even make profit with the main cities?

Windsward and Everfall cities are having a loss of 100.000 gold /week.
The other cities are not even being updated.

And they really think that our server have a better economy…
it’s unbelievable

This happens if the devs do not play their own game. Back in my days - every single freaking dev played their own game.

Please point out where your quote from AGS says that they will never merge RTA servers with Legacy servers…because it doesnt say that.
.
RTA servers are event servers, not Fresh Start servers.

Some of those are fresh i to fresh bud…

Give it 60 more days and they will be merging the fresh starts into legacy.

It is either that or have 2 dead servers.

There are far enough players on FSS to have several nearly capped servers.

Oh and before peeps come in this thread to again try and spout RTA FSS were not FSS or Fresh Start Worlds:

This has been debunked time and again the last day or so…you spread misinformation when you clearly do not know what you are talking about. The streamers and everyone else saying these are FSS are correct and you are wrong.

Also FRESH START servers written plain as day right there for you to read, only thing is they open to the general public a bit later on.

Watch your favorite Twitch streamers forge a new legacy into their very own fresh start worlds in Return to Aeternum.

There I made the relevant part easier to see for you.

By every single metric that has any value you are wrong.

Well you see they aren’t merging FSS into legacy worlds. They’re merging the legacy worlds into FSS. AGS is king of “read the fine print” lol I’m being sarcastic and this is ridiculous

Ya’ll can sit here and argue semantics all day long, not sure what that accomplishes. Clearly AGS has the right to change their mind (those of you on FSS take note) to do whatever they think is best for the game.

Letting these RTA servers die a slow painful death isn’t an answer either.

But here’s the thing that I don’t get: Since most agree these indeed ARE “Fresh Start Servers”, what could have possibly happened on them that make them so “dirty” that they can’t be merged into OTHER FSS?

That’s the part I’m confused over. Honestly I don’t care which way this goes, nor do I think it’ll negatively impact anyone either way.

P.S. I do wonder how well the vision for this game is communicated within AGS. This seems to be another example of information morphing as it moves down the chain.

What makes them dirty is the word streamer.

That’s what this is really about, the dirty cheating streamers need to go play with the other dirty cheaters in legacy worlds.

It’s a fact that RTA server are also FSS, they were sold as such to the streamers BEFORE the event started, advertised as such both before, during and even after the event until just a couple days ago when the “metrics” they made up to change their minds came into play.

The main “metric” here is “streamers and their dirty horde of apparently brain dead followers”. That what I am seeing and reading in lots of posts even if it is couched a little less honestly but more politely, welp in some cases.
