In concept this worked well in the beginning, when there were massive amounts of people Zerging territories in order to push them into conflict, in the current game state it’s mostly just war loggers and PVE’ers. pushing a territory is like pulling teeth.
I think we should start by having a conversation about the amount of time or missions it takes to put a territory into conflict, in my opinion this number should be decreased by about 50%. This would take about 6 hours for 10 people to push. Right now missions are worth about 1/4th of a percent by my calculation.
What is AGS’s stance on the reason for territories to take so long to push?
It will most likely be reworked in the future. The whole war system will. It’s the biggest thing killing the game, but it’s not something they can up and fix. So it will take time for a legitimate solution to everything around wars.
War is premium content. It is not meant for 10 people to be able to push when 50 are to be slotted. It is meant for full companies. If your faction is in first place from a territory standpoint, naturally it will take way longer then the faction that is in last place. While the content is the worst in the game, at least it levels your pvp track so there is some purpose. If you want war that badly, you’ll push for 6 hours
Id argue the buff that attacks get now over time is already too high one reason defenders dont counter anymore.
It needs to be harder to throw territories into conflict but easier to beat the defenders.
Winners should have more time before someone can put a territory in conflict again.
To do that we need more pvp instanced formats for pvp content and part of that should be qued squirmishes. Territory specific that push influence up and down based on winners.
I have no problems getting in war, thing is no one else that gets into war for some companies are willing to push. I can’t magically make 50 people want to push. And people who won’t get slotted in war don’t want to push just to not get slotted. It’s a catch-22.
It makes sense that it’s premium content, but shouldn’t you want arguably the best content in the game more often?
How about only being able to push during seige windows so the defending company can field a defense? 2.5 hours is simply too fast. Basically pick a time no ones on to degend and push?
In a perfect world what I’d like is a war in each territory every 3 days. Immediately after a war there is an instant 24 hour cooldown for the invasion.
Then maybe after the invasion in your world there is a time when everyone can push the territory? personally I don’t think that would work, but anything to have less time pushing territories and more wars. The problem is no one wants to push and the content is repetitive and boring. Either make the content more engaging, maybe something like turning azoth salt into PVP conflict points so people con contribute in different ways. A war every 4 days (at the most) is too little wars.
I hear you but if people aren’t willing to put in the work of getting the content then they don’t deserve the content. My company is out there pushing every single night cause they are war-hungry fiends and play the game to war. Should their efforts be simplified because others aren’t willing to put in the work?
There is a reason why a 5-10 man can’t push a territory quickly… thats not how the game is designed and shouldn’t be that way. It should be difficult to get the most premium content in the game… or everyone would do it and war would be shit show
