I was just sitting here whilst in the queue at 969 for the last hour, thinking of a way that the game can be a bit more balanced with the economy.
- The economy/server setup works great, when the server is fresh. As it was when the game released, people had rushed and grinded their levels to be the first to sell x and to sell it for whatever price they wanted.
These people, who some will admit, no lifed the game for the first 7 days made a lot of profit. Selling bags for huge amounts of gold, and other items.
Buying houses, owning towns and setting taxes. These people had an advantage, for playing the game for endless amount of hours they got rewarded. This is good, but then it flat lines out. Where these people will only continue to get richer, whilst new players will struggle to afford higher priced items.
I was thinking, even though you can make money in Outpost rush, it doesn’t seem to be enough.
There was a game I remember playing a few years ago where you could buy a house, and rent it out
What I was thinking was maybe if AGS had a look into potentially letting players rent their houses out.
For example, if I have my house that I bought for 20k, and I put 5 trophys in it, decked it out with nice furniture etc, that money is gone, and it goes more and more into a loss as you have to pay taxes for it.
So to counter this, if player A who is level 31, wants a house but can’t really afford 20k, he wants to start making money by skinning for example, he goes to everfall and opens up the house list, and a list appears with people who have their houses up for rental with a fixed price.
Player A has enough for 2 days of rent, and he pays it. Player A now has 5 trophy benefits and can use the next 48 hours to make as much money as possible by using the trophy benefits from the rental he has just bought.
Player B, the house owner can then have a stable income to counter the house taxes.
Just an idea! What are your thoughts? Don’t hurt me, some of you guys on these forums are nasty when it comes to talking to other people!
