An idea about the pvp bonus

But I want to be flagged! I enjoy the sense of danger world pvp brings. But the cost/risk has not be reasonable on a pve server. If we had a pvp server the cost/risk would be irrelevant.

That’s a weird comment. We have a problem in this game right now. The world is dead, there is no world pvp. The reward is to low and the cost to high. Surely you as a pvp player cant be happy and the PvE players absolutely are not happy. I’m posting ideas and usggestions to make both pve and pvp more enjoyable. Do you have any suggestions?

I also love the change. I have not unflagged since the change and probably never will. But you are comparing literally nothing, with something, so obviously that will make anything seem great.

Yeah you are in fact losing a lot of extra materials relative to the other option. You are paying a very high price for your choice. You obviously think it’s worth it so that’s great. I am also happy with my choice to farm while flagged using pve gear. But I just think we could make a system that is better for both of us. A system where you and I actually fight in the world while not losing any luck perk.

Yes the bonus is encouraging players to flag for pvp but the system is broken. It doesn’t encourage actual world pvp in any way, on the contrary, it actively encourages you to avoid pvp as much as possible and on top of this the PvE players are very unhappy.

My goal is to present an idea that encourages world pvp more when people can farm and fight in pvp gear and it encourages people to flag for pvp so they can use one set of gear and don’t have to change without losing anything (relatively) and the pve players would not lose anything relative to flagging.

There are lots of way to make both sides happy. But it takes time to create content.

A couple of suggestions:

  • PVP event’s
  • more Battlegrounds.
  • PVP focused gear as rewards for said battlegrounds.
  • PVP only maps area’s.

As for PVE players, it’s really easy. Don’t give PVP players bonuses on PVE content and create more Dungeons and Raids. Simple.

The bonus is a bad idea, just leave it at that. Adding anything to it just exasperates the problem. The bonus is just a silly band aid that someone threw on without thought.

The only solution is targeted content for both.

I straight up just don’t believe you. There’s no way you’re happily stacking luck, grinding away gold optimally without a care in the world, and are somehow mad you’re able to get so much. No one complains about free money. If you’re happily stacking your bread, keep stacking it and stop complaining about it like a normal human being lmao

So let me get this straight: The reward is too little, and the cost too high, so you want to remove the reward and keep the cost the exact same??? You’re actually not making any sense.

You want a suggestion on how to make PvE and PvP players happy though? Make some real fucking endgame that isn’t just farming and crafting. Add more dungeons with more enticing rewards, add PvP arenas, add things so people aren’t whining about a miniscule fucking luck bonus they could optimize while collecting herbs.

This is how I know you’re lying. “Yeah, I’m happy with the current system. You’re happy with the current system. Let’s change it!” This is nonsense. Why would we change something we’re both happy with?

The only way you could “balance” open world PvP is to allow people like you to not take additional risks, like wearing harvesting gear while flagged. Why would I ever take that option away from you? Why should extra risk not be encouraged, and not even an option? Because you’re so greedy you can’t so no to it? You seem like you only want to harm other players and their ability to make decisions and take risks, because you’re a min-maxer that hates what min-maxing entails. If you don’t want to min-max, just don’t, it’s literally that easy.

No, they want to feel like the risk OTHER players are taking rewards them… with gankable plebs.

This is same on my server . It’s not chaotic as most would think. More small scale battles here and there . More 1v1s than anything . Actually love it. And typically if someone dies I don’t see them again. Zergs are only at SM.

just remove all bonuses and rewards from pvp. the pvp itself is the reward. why do pvpers feel entitled to welfare handouts?

nope. why should crafters and pver have to grind and work hard for their gear when all pvper do is beat each other up for 15 minutes, end the game with terrible stats and a loss, and get handed free items and gold?

PvP players are asking for a pvp server and that would solve all problems. But if we now are “forced” to play on a pve server the cost/reward has to be reasonable or we get no world pvp at all.

Personally I don’t want anything really other than that I want everyone to be flagged for pvp always. There can be any cost to death with no rewards (but a cost to death means that people will avoid world pvp). It’s just part of reality and something to adapt to. But when we do have the forced option to unflagg for pvp there needs to be a reasonable system or we either don’t get any world pvp or the pve players are unhappy. Right now it’s kinda both. I am kinda OK with this system and I am flagged all the time, but as a PvX player, I think the system can improve. I know the pve players are not happy. I also know there could be more and more fun world pvp to be had.

That would kill the economy of pve and pvp servers. Servers that are low and med populated would also be killed.

Just not a good option as much as I like PvP.

I feel system right now is very good. May need to decrease luck a tad bit like 30 to 20 . But overall I’m good with it . I’m about 60% pve and gatherer unflagged and 40% pvp flagged at the moment

Its a pvepvp game. For me it seems like you want to make hardliners happy, but with these changes everyone in the middle will get mad.

Okay here’s an example pvp server comes up. Pvp players switch to it .

On pve server what gear is best for pve ? Void. What gear is best for pvp ? Random rolls on gear using legendary CD mats.
Why would I Spend 100k gold for countless rolls on rolling perfect perks for a 5-10% PVE buff ? For pvp I will do it. Companies same thing. Who do You think is buying the pve legendary materials and CD mats ? It’s people like me . Companies too. I’ve already rolled a bow roughly 70 times . That’s 1050 glitter ebony. Do the math. It’s a great gold money sink.

PVE players need pvp players same way we need them. It’s a two way street.

every time i read this, all i know about the person posting it is they want to be level 60 and gank underleveled noobs in green gear, which you would be able to do on your “pvp server”

remove gear, remove rewards, template all pvp. then we will see how many “X” you can fight at once,

Wait, didn’t you see that it said PvX, with an X? The X stands for both pvp and pve. How does enjoying both PvP and PvE make anyone a ganker?

Also how does it make anyone a ganker to choose to play on a pvp server and engaging in pvp with other players that specifically choose a pvp server?

With the system right now you are indirectly forcing pve players in to pvp flagging and you are indirectly forcing pvp players into pve gear. The people that are unaffected are PvE players but they are the most unhappy it seems. The system does in fact get people to flag for pvp but at the same time it actively discourage actual pvp.

I don’t complain for any risk. I complain against the PvE buff being hiden behind a PvP wall, so be better at PvE I need to engage on PvP. That is the problem.
