Hey there, people like @Aenwyn and @o-o and others… it’s not your fault.
You’re just doing your job, and it is unfortunate that the developers are clowns, which makes the community you react with view and treat you as clowns by association. Deep down, through the memes and jibes, we deeply respect your effort, even though your hands are tied.
I would like to personally thank you for the two greatest memes so far (WELP and Congratulations ) because everyone who plays new world enjoys them. They are even better than giant chat sausage, which was pretty damn hard to top.
I have a request of you, and I am sure the community will echo it, but it is a difficult ask.
I know you pass up a lot of info to the devs, and I do not think they listen as much as they should - but there needs to be one resounding message passed to them daily: We think they are clowns. We think they are clowns for not researching and implementing previously successful MMO features that could be seen in MMOs as early as 2002. We think they are clowns because of their misguided efforts and attention paid to systems the playerbase never asked for. We think they are clowns for callously disregarding the work you do in passing on the info, as you are the first filter for them.
Until these things change, new world cannot progress and become as great as it could be.
Disagreed. We can’t tell for sure if the current screwups in priorities are a result of the dev team choosing to ignore feedback, or the CM team not properly passing feedback along in terms of urgency etc. As long as this process is intransparent to us, I’m putting blame on both parties
I disagree. The developers are not clowns. I am willing to bet that the developers have some great ideas and fixes, but things just don’t work in the current state or are not high priority per their schedule.
But I will agree that the transparency has gone down A LOT, and it is not sitting well with me. I can’t blame the CMs, because what if they’re not getting the answers we’re asking for? It’s not fair to the CMs. I cannot blame the developers either. I can, however, blame their managers on what they allow and not allow to be released to the community in terms of answers to questions.
