Title.
There are groups in Castrum Victualis all day everyday mob farming for this super rare drop. The item is classified as “rare”, but based on how seldom it drops it’s more in line with a legendary than a “rare” drop.
Mob farming in this way at this ONE location is incredibly boring (I know there are other locations listed but there are never groups for these areas and you’d have to be a masochist to want to solo farm). This reagent should be globally dropped throughout Brimstone Sands at a higher rate than it currently is. Promote exploration and variety.
Maybe allow it to drop in all 55+ zones. Higher chance of dropping based on mob level.
This is the main gate for runeglass crafting atm.
The glyphs drop rate is quite bad as well… since we’re on the subject…
As for glyphs I think they should drop either globally in 55+ regions with a current rate they drop in each specific area in Brim they currently do. For each of these specific areas in Brim increase the drop chance.
Globs are messed up effed. They only drop in zones that drop glyphs as well, even if listed otherwise in nwdb. Victualis is the only place that has glyps and globs on its loot table.
Want to add, this type of content is not fun and earns the term grind. I think variety is the factor missing here. If the player is allowed to traverse and entire region/world and not restricted to killing one named mob or in one specific area that cuts down on this feeling.
Another example of this are the named mobs that drop the legendary BANE trophy reagents. For each respective mob “race” ALL mobs of that race should be able to drop legendary reagent (the legendary itself but mostly dropping the RARE shard that can combine into the legendary reagent) with a much lower chance than if you were killing a named mob from that same “race”. Obviously higher chance based on level of the named mob. This NEEDS to apply to expedition mobs as well.
The worst part about this is there are not enough mobs in Castrum Victualis to entertain me, let alone a group of players.
I’ll give them points for the name being silly, and meaning fortified nutrition, or in modern times, the food court. Granted I bet they were aiming more for Castle Victual, but then they should have just used that. This would beg the question are globs provisions?
