And PVE players suffer from PVP

While the PVP players will more that likely chime/chirp in saying everything if fine, as a PVE player, I say it isn’t. Why are PVE players forced to suffer at the hands of PVP players. This is not PVP and PVE coexisting, it’s PVP with PVE aspects.

I am not a PVP player, I never have and never will be. I have tried PVP in NW and found it as unenjoyable as any other game. I know I’m not the only one that despises PVP, my group of friends do not enjoy it as well.

So when I saw the game was releasing with PVE designs I was happy to give it a whirl… until the cities I had houses in, all lost their wars, and winners set the taxes to extreme. Now my house and the time doing board quests, quests etc, pointless. Taxes are 900 gold for the house and all my PVE time in the region amounts to nothing.

My group of friends are all loosing any desire to play this game. Several do not even log in anymore and all but 3 of us are daily players now. What could of been a great game for us all, is clearly showing the PVP requirement and implications of what happens when you don’t.

PVE needs to be able to achieve the same results as PVP with regards to PVE perks.
Companies need to be able to garner standing for a town for the same perks as the controlling faction for it’s members.
Individual players need to be able to garner standing for the same perks as the controlling faction.
At the end of the day, the greater rep of your Faction or your Company or your Standing should determine the town perks you have.

And other notes:

The answer to PVE coin issues should not be “We enabled PVP Outpost rushes”

Also taxes should be payable with resourcing. Donate 1000 green wood to pay your taxes. And it should be raw resources, ie 1000 gold ore, not 1000 gold ingots.

This is just not a game for you. I recommend you vote with your wallet and stop playing the game. If enough people are like-minded, then Amazon will get the message. If not, then the game dies or perhaps you were in the minority and it was a business decision to not cater to your needs, in which case, stopping playing is also justified.

You have the option of pressing U but no I haven’t felt any differences between doing 1 of the 3 braindead activities in the game pve/pvp/war because it’s my choice to do which ever want. I get your point though

When this happened in Everfall (max taxes), people moved to Windsward.

Even if you were a PvP player, this could happen. Playing in PvP doesn’t gurantee victory and the world working out to suit you.

The world has rain in it, and sometimes you get wet. It’s up to you to figure out what you do about that. Do you quit, or do you figure out which PvP company you’re willing to support and help them regain the city you call home?

This game, like all things in life, is what you make of it. And expecting the developers to make it to suit you just isn’t realistic.

I don’t participate in Open World PvP, for the record. But I do participate in server politics. And when something “bad” happens, I help fix it by connecting to the people that did it, or can fix it, and applying pressure.

I don’t see why die hard PvE players wnat this game to be for them when it’s clearly not the intentions.

This game was created and meant to be that way in the first place…

I’m pretty sure AGS stated that they wanted PVE and PVP to coexist not PvE be dominated by PVP. Right now as it stands PVE is dominated by the state of PVP on the game, there is no way to PVE and get the same results. It feels like any faction that becomes PVE heavy in playerbase will be at the whims of the dominance of PVP. There’s no balance here, there’s no way for PVE to tip the scales back to a balanced server. So as I said this is not coexisting this is PVP dominating the PVE playerbase. So as a PVE player or a PVE guild there should be mechanisms in place to establish the perks currently given by PVP dominance. When I’m rep level 30 50 100 200 or 300 with a city, there should be inherent perks granted. And by virtue it would be nice if there was a rep system for company participation to where your company shares in the reputation fellow members have earned in the city.

Just PVP. Problem solved. Having a strong aversion to PVP in this game makes little sense.

As your post make sense you also coming in a game where the statement is “we want to make a game where pve & pvp not only coexist but are complementary” even though its not the case at the moment this is their goal.

That said, if you really never have and never will be pvp, it might also be a wrong game choice.

this has been a pvp focused game from the start i beleive.
Also you sound like a farmer. i agree with the first guy that posted this game isnt for you and not sure why you planned to play it considering everything in this game points towards pvping

I am a hardcore pve Player and i like the Game so much. I also now like pvp wars or pvp group content. The Game shows me More then other Games the Last 10 years.

If you don’t think you can make the payment you can just choose not to pay for the cycle.

The faction only gets territory benefits from owning forts, the only people who get baked in benefits from owning the territory is the controlling company.

PVE coin sourcing is a non issue, do 3 faction missions daily, help out an expedition team, join an invasion. Thats about 1.2k gold right there daily.

PVP coin sourcing has, 3 daily faction missions, join a war and do outpost rush (which is dead on med/low pop servers anyways)

No

To be honest, you sound like the type of player that would buy Destiny only for PVE then complains about crucible giving gear score increases

PVE only players are cancer, change my mind

PVE players leaving the game, what a surprise!

Meant to reply to OP

whining about pvp in a pvp game is kinda just pouring salt over a wound.

Also right now, pvp players are suffering from pvp, due to broken skills still and ridiculous amounts of lag.

There, fixed that post up nicely for you - my edits are in bold. I have similar thoughts, OP.
