I have no idea why this was implemented? it is quite literally the most annoying sound ive ever heard and does absolutely nothing for the game. i cant find a single setting that lets me turn it off, or even lower it. If this is the kind of crap they focused on for a big patch then i expect this game to die soon.

It’s really strange some guys i play with don’t have this “Sound-Feature” ?!
Like why are only we few affected? O.o
I figured it was a feature of the sub-optimal windows 7 experience, like the box that tells me so blocking my game loading every time.

I understand this issue, quick question, Are you using windows 10 and are all of your drivers up to date? including the sound drivers that your motherboard and or sound card have?

@Hunden everythings update to date and the sound issue started with the latest update. When i Mute the sound of the game the annoying sound will also be muted.

Played some other games and in no other game i have this issue
I run in fullscreen windows 10 all all drivers updated.
When I alt-tab out of the game, I get the ‘Whoosh/Drum’ sound, same when I alt-tab back into the game.
Only started after the patch.

Great workaround I’ve found is lower the Master Volume all the way down until you don’t hear it (for me it was 10) and increase the volumes on your other settings instead until you hear them like you used to. I went for 10 Master, 100 old settings

I suspect they implemented this sound so that you know that you have tabbed out of game.
When you play in window mode it is easy to accidentally tab out, especially in a big fight, and the noise lets you know.
It is noisy, but I think that is intended for the purpose of notifying you when you have ‘accidentally’ tabbed out of windowed mode.
