These changes will affect pve too not just pew pew pew. The devs also said something about skills not working the same in pvp and pve or something to that effect.
Frankly I am looking forward to seeing less rolling armadillos players…lol
He’s crying about light being meta for wars and 90% of builds when that’s extremely false. PvE players shouldn’t have loud opinions about gamemodes they’ve never played.
if you dont think light armor needs a nerf you must not pvp very often. Bruisers wear medium/heavy yeah, but heavy is barely viable and you barely see it nowadays because YOU CANNOT CATCH ANYONE. you think it’s a skill issue? try it your damn self, if someone in light armor wants to kite you, even without rapier or bow or whatever. you will NEVER catch them. the problem with light isnt the survivability on it. you’re not meant to be able to survive in the mosh pit like a bruiser can. it’s that nothing other than light can catch light.
ever fight a healer as a bruiser? impossible, ever try to catch ranged players as a bruiser? you STILL get 3-4 shot to death without healing. whoever made this post just doesnt want his build getting nerfed even though it’s deserved. even melee assassins you cannot catch if they decide to kill your backline healer then get away.
light armor is bullshit and the kiting in this game is the worst i’ve ever experienced in any game. heavy armor is barely even viable due to that reason unless your fighting on a point. and medium armor still struggles to catch light
Why would you play heavy or medium if you are gonna chase people?
It’s like playing light armor bow/musket and complaining you can’t stand on the point.
Of course you can’t.
So what you are saying is: medium/heavy armor bruisers should be able to chase anyone down and win against light armor away from the point. Basically heavy/medium armor should win in every situation. Be it on the point in teamfight or chasing through a field of ranged. Heavy/medium should have no downsides to being able to stand on the point and win games.
If we gave light armor the same mentality they will be buffing it so that light armor can also stand on the point and win games. But it also is able to run away and outmovement heavy/medium armor. Basically lets take away all the downsides of light armor. You shouldnt have to give up winning/standing on the point to play light armor right?
lol. the armor weights have different places they excell. If you are chasing after players in medium/heavy you aren’t doing your job. You are supposed to stand in sacred ground on the point and left click. Do your preset ability chains. Basically medium/heavy armor bruisers are the bots of pvp. We really need them to form good game balance. But it’s incredibly boring to play.
It’s so boring to play you regularly see people complaining about chasing after light armor players as medium/heavy. Something they really really shouldnt consider doing most of the time in such a restricted armor class.
you know what heavy can catch? the fking objective that makes you win the game. like they are supposed to. dont go spitting bs when ur unga bungaing after light rapier users
I am hoping rabblerabble is just trolling . Nonetheless, it was definitely a heavy handed nerf (20% reduced dodge translation because some melee dude touched you, gets way worse when paired with slows).
haha more light armor nerfs, what a L - medium and heavy loadouts are for new players to facetank without using ingame mechanics and war loggers, if u not light then u LAME
You just trolling? The nerf was the dodge translation where your dodge doesn’t go as far when under the effect of a slow (including the melee walk animation).
Not entirely true.
Many go for the light build and it works just fine with higher burst combos (there’s a vid of a WH/BB guy wrecking havoc posted recently)
It’s popular for solo, it’s popular in OPR and it got to be abused since the damage bonus was introduced.
The walk-to-sprint time was always there, but people was too comfortable with 100% impunity provided by light and still haven’t catched up and still roll in any fight thinking they can get away unpunished.
