Hello, are there any support type builds? Not a dedicated healer or tank but a hybrid dps support class that brings more than pure damage to the group when running expeditions or organized pvp? Thanks!

As a PvE tank, I try to stack rend since the buffs/debuffs are all damage independent from the dealer and holding a boss at rend cap can be an extra 40% damage… Also empower from the healer is a big buff, but I think they have a few more options.
Do you have any suggestions for a dps/support build?
In New World, I prefer dps. I healed for a while at launch but not really my thing anymore. I want to be able to help a group more than just straight damage.
rend/weaken are your two best choices if you are running a melee DPS, GA has weaken in it’s perk tree, WH has rend, and hatchet has slow and rend…

I run VG/IG ,or VG/FS this week, Intelligence 300+int/200con for Laz m+ A lot of players don’t notice the rend and debufs that these things stack up. I can solo a lot of stuff in laz with this self healer FPS build.
Void blade is fun, try it. It isn’t popular to get pug though for the meta junkies. When I save wipes and am the last to die or not die minds change. Massive buffs and debuffs going on here.
Fire staff is a bad weapon and the opposite of support.
Ice gauntlet, blunderbuss, void gauntlet.
You pick 2 and theres your support build.
greatsword dps has amazing utility because of all the rends and weaken, and on top of that rupture is a mild version of gravity well
for a secondary ive been running ig for the ice wall so mobs won’t move or vg for the oblivion

if you saw I said, this week. Mutations are Ice in laz and I believe with brimstone they remove negative effects on archtypes making fire just fine for this run.
Oh ok, im talking from a pvp perspective.
Fs/vg is not viable any week and would get you laughed at if you tried to pass it as a support.

fire staff rocks the last boss, you quoting guides or personal xp?
VG/IG medium is the best support build in wars/skrims/arenas in my opinion. Deep screams, oblivions and showers can make some crazy plays when played with comms.
I am speaking in relation to pvp, which was in his post.
I have no doubt a fire staff could be used in pve. Anything could. Pve is a joke and gets farmed for time in this game.
Void Gauntlet might be what you’re looking for with rends, empowers, heals and stamina regen etc. Just choose what you like

Check out the Spear/Void Gauntlet build. Talk about support! Weaken the crap out of the mobs. Danzopvp on Youtube has a great build for it.

Throwing hatchet. If you have a hatchet with bane/rogue/empowering rending throw and you build right, you may actually do more single target damage than melee hatchet, but that’s for bosses/mini bosses. For mobs you’ll still be meleeing for the most part
You could run a support dps/heal VG/LS and use the voidblade and the debuffa plus act as off heals
For support build you wanna provide rend, weaken and empower.
As previously stated spear/VG is great.
Hammer/VG is also great.
You need enfeebling skewer perk for spear build and sundering shockwave perk for hammer build.
