Any word from developers about getting a new OPR map?

OPR is getting boring with the same map since release, i hope they release a new OPR map with more game modes because the same map is getting boring.

I dont think that would be something they would put on opr unless they were unfathomably incompetent. That would mean they havent learned anything from their beta test outcome.

I agree. Something that doesnt encourage range dominance with so much open area.

I haven’t heard, but having another map would be cool!

New map, new posibilities:

  • wake up ancient mechanical construct to fight your enemis
  • fill up capture point fortification moat with water ( gather azoth water )
  • magicial shield that eats projectiles: bow, musket, so long range
  • after killing elite NPC she would drop azoth heart for everyone, and this is the momemnt fun begins, you have to carry this heart to specific point to freeze other group points, so multiple folks can get it and drop ( like canonball in new expedition, chardis ball ) and other folks can escort you
  • elite NPC can drop nice loot / perks / azoth salt so there is another incentive to kill it ( folks colaborate / gathering and gently force fight, small incwentive to get folks together and fight )
  • after some time fire / poisonous fog starts coming from maps edges and forcing players to fight each other
  • ancient teleport machinery to be unlocked / build
  • build or activate traps : lasers in The Starstone Barrows, sirens anchor that gives buffs
  • set up mines like in invasion
  • explosive barrels you can ignite with projectiles
  • you can capture towers / pirate ships with flag to give your team buffs ( only one tower can be active so there is always incentive to go for one, they switch off each other )
    blue pirate ship: free food or access to shop, red pirate ship: after resurecting you get speed buff, green pirate ship / green lantern or tower: mechanical construct escorts you whenever you go

a lot folks, maybe its just here, complain about pve components in pvp enviroment, i am thinking about it more like creating situations to colaborate together, use tactics and gently force players to fight each other, so if you will the enviroment can give you some advantages and surprise your oponent

I’ve said this before…make a OPR map version of Myrkgard. It obvioulsy won’t be as big, maybe a section of it. There could be layers, houses that players can go in and out of to fight. Good tactical battles could take place. Maybe make it a capture the flag situation where the flags are inside buildings. Ranged would have to be fixed because there are just way too many areas to get sneak shots.

Sorry , but let 's stop being boring , it 's not a simple snap to create a new map for OPR , there are other things in the priority queue .

Why do people assume that multiple things can’t be worked on a the same time. Or that there are different teams to handle different things. This is game company that works for AMAZON. If they can’t handle multiple things in the pipeline, we are in bigger trouble than we thought.

Next OPR map for muskets and bows :slight_smile:

But for real, it could be interesting to implement a game mod with only one type of weapon.

As which? create another dungeon? so that after 1 week they don’t use it anymore? LOL

Just straight up copy the classic Warsong Gulch mode in WoW. No reason to reinvent the wheel. No PvE bullshit.

Id love to see an arena type map where its 1 big arena with a center capture point. Would give a similar feel to a point fight in a war.

Or some more linear map where you have to capture certain specific points in order to advance, and whoever reaches the end wins the game. There are many options to make it entertaining indeed.

Perhaps in the current OPR map they should do the same, capture the closest fort to just be able to take the middle fort, and the previous 2 to just be able to take the last one, so they would be much more orderly and the PvE would have enough time to arm the former forts. But the current rotation that exists between forts does not help much.

Honestly just copy and paste a fort fight from war and make it a game mode and the game would be so much more fun.

Just use a town map like windsward or everfall, even reekwater is good. Put everyone in achieve kills to end instead of just gathering points.

King of the hill map. everyone spawns at different locations upon entering opr. Only solo que game mode. 1 point to capture battle royale
