If my server got to that point I’d just quit. I still need to get my Fallout 3 GOTY working again after Steam stupidly decided to break everything. Then I’d have to start a new character and then I’d have to…
Finally I can farm iron in peace, yay <3
This, I just farm more for a while, level up my gathering skills before the “big merge” happens and it will be messy
Im on Ruach and yes it really is dead … 7% full the last time i logged in, ok Im on an us east server whilst in uk but earlier there was always 50% minimum at the time I played. I think many many people that are still playing have moved to the busy servers which are still getting queues. Right now its showing 5% with 100/2000 players. these servers should be 50% with 4000 player cap.
Il do you one better, our server peaks at like 200 lol
EDIT: Nevermind it peaks at 150 nowadays
I’m not (yet), but it feels like a lot of people are, or they’ve jumped servers. We were peaking out at 300 over the weekend, but last night was the quietest it’s been.
I usually do my levelling in a duo with an old mate, which is enough to get through most +level stuff we get, so it’s not too bad. The other times I’m grinding up my crafting while the grinding is good (that’s a phrase I thought I’d never use!).
If I’m honest, I’m not sure how much longer this is going to keep me engaged, though. The economy has died, there are no groups for dungeons, there aren’t enough people to stop invasions and not enough income for companies to repair crafting stations afterwards.
The tipping point will probably come when my housing tax is too much to pay.
Actively looking for something else to play. I literally can’t do anything but farm mats in my dead ass server.
Thats how it is on my server, Penglai on EU. Only source of income is failing invasions lol
I am kind of the opposite, the only part of the game I am enjoying is gathering and crafting. Once they merge the servers that just means a lot more people competing for limited resources so I will more than likely take a break until they add in the faction crafting quests. I do think they need to merge the servers though as I know I am a minority in my playstyle.
im waiting untill they fix exploits, bugs and weapon balance
I’ve been on a break but I could care less about server mergers. Low pop requiring server mergers is just a surface problem/fix that is manifesting from much deeper issue(s).
So server mergers are basically band-aids on an arterial wound.
What has me rollin on the floor laughing is how many are conplaining about PoP but completely oblivious to what is actually causing it.
Play every day, still having fun and will continue to as long as it’s still fun.
Well I will be on the PTR.
Hang in there. I just transferred off of a 400 peak server to one of the top 5 servers (had a 20 min, 400 person queue last night).
Immediately my experience changed. People are in the towns, chat is active, I found a group to run Dynasty within 3 minutes. The game felt alive again.
Server merges need to happen, the dull experience the “dead”/low pop servers are delivering are undoubtedly driving some people away. I searched for expedition groups for a week straight with no success. Server population caps raising should also be taken into consideration. This game is meant to be played with others, and a server <500 at peak is taking away from the experience.
Nope. On one toon I have only just completed A Hero’s Duty. Have completed all side missions in the 4 starter areas, am still yet to do all of Cutlass Keys. Still not done any of Brightwood and beyond. Have a lot to do until even consider needing to play something else. My crafting skills still need work. Can only craft T3 armour. Really need T4 to bear to progress with main story. Do one get full focus drops to crafting is my only option. But getting my furniture to 100 is my priority at the mo. Nearly there just need to deck my 2nd house out in furniture then I should be good to get the minor lick trophy unlocked. So much to do, so little time. I haven’t been herb picking in a while so I’ll need to do that soon too.
Just seems odd so many people didn’t want to join a high pop server initially. Queues during peak is simply a healthy sign.
I mean, a 20 min queue is one thing.
Originally the queues on my server were 3-4 hours, and were worse on other servers. That isn’t sustainable either.
I really didn’t enjoy farming, I do think it is like a job but you are not getting paid to do
I wish the merge would be quicker, but I know by how the transfers went that it may take a month or two to the servers be merged, and even then probably mostly of the World Set would have migrated out
Yeah, both servers which I played was Full with hours queues, it was a good sign… But as months passed by, both of them are low pop now
