Mine as well go play a FPS game. AGS never listens. If anyone from AGS sees this remove arboreal is busted
I don’t mind it too much the only things that bug me are 1. the obvious aimbotters (and no I don’t mean the players that are just good lets not fool ourselves) and 2. OPR game mode is just trash and promotes sitting back and doing damage with ranged making it awful if you get stuck with all the ranged.
i used to like opr, until i took a bunch of arrows to the knee.
Idk my server seems filled with a ton of bruisers, healers, and assassin dex builds.
Problem is the aimbot issue, range can be fun but having skills directed towards aiming in the head is just wrong,
they need to pinpoint like for slow you will need to hit the legs, for bleeding you will need to hit the stomach.
This will counter the aimbot and make the ones who shoot and aim well perform even better.
A company on my server massreports muskets in OPR and now they don’t queue with that weapon anymore. They had no option but to take it into their own hands. I’m glad they do it.
In this ranged meta you can’t play anything else than assassin meele. Cuz if you’ve 200 or 300con you will still blasted in 3sec on the field despite wearin med lol
Bows and muskets aren’t a problem at all.
Map design and scoring system are the problem.
This is what promotes the musketpr and bow pr.
On dry tree we don’t get it that much, still mainly bows.
Put more cover and obstacles in opr and lower weight of dmg/kills in scoring and increase weight of contesting points.
Job done.
No one gonna be stat-padding and doing passive dmg or sniping kills if they end up at the bottom of the scoreboard and don’t reach the 3k points for max rewards.
^ this is all that needs to happen.

I still think the core problem is that PvP/PvE use the same weapon tunings, and when you’re talking about two fundamentally different systems, neither one is going to be particularly good. I proposed one solution, and I’m seriously hoping AGS does something like this so that they can tune PvP and PvE independently of one another.
Sick of it. We transferred to a new server and now there’s the same 5man premade 625 musket squad every night ruining the fun for everyone.
