Anyone have insight into War meta changes?

According to my reading of the patch notes, nothing substantially changed and Heavy Armor Hammer/Axe is still king in Wars.

Did I miss something?

The entire meta has changed. Axes, hammers, healers, sword n’ board. Everything. Did you actually read the notes?

I saw tweaks to some abilities, but nothing about changes to mass CC. What changes are going to prevent hammer/axe melee balls from CCing teams into oblivion? What changed to increase the survivability if those wearing medium/light armor?

I mean, it’s all literally in the patch notes. I can’t explain it better than they already did.

They healer changes are nerfs to healers. Now they either heal less than before or die faster to backline dives, which the hammer/axe teams were already doing with great success.

No changes to armour types / survivability.

Hammer/Greataxe got heavy buffs, Spear/Sword/Rapier/Musket got small buffs. Bow, Fire Staff and Ice Gauntlet receives heavy nerfs. Life Staff nerfed a bit.

Meta will invariably remain the same, except you won’t bring any mages now. Just go Greataxe/Hammer, stack up on a point, get healed up. If you are a healer, go for more debuff cleanse. Don’t bring bows/fire staffs/ice gauntlets to war anymore as they aren’t worth using.

There was no acknowledgement by the devs that hammer/axe was a problem in Wars, so I assume they don’t think the meta is an issue. That kind of sucks.

Yeah, it’s clear that aren’t in touch with what’s going on in the game and what the combat problems are. Worst of all, they also aren’t willing to listen to players.

Rapier in a good state no ?

That riposte CD is kinda annoying to deal with now.

Not sure. I really don’t know anything about rapier.

I’m just concerned about the state of Wars in general.
