Ok I f u have the same issue with the above error on starting new world.
I solved it by whitelisting the newword folder under steamapps/common directory in my antivirus software.
I tried just the EAC folder afterwards to try and narrow it down but that made no difference.
I’m going to do some more testing to try and narrow down the exact files that are causing new word to stop with the above error.
Hope this helps out anyone else.
