Aptitude Crates and Luck

Hi,

I can’t seem to find a clear answer. Are Aptitude crates/packages affected by loot luck gear? i.e Loot Luck Trophy, Pearls, Luck Perks etc.

Should I be wearing the gear when I get the crate drop or when I open it?

I don’t remember where ( Thoses old Dev blog I think ) they confirmed that luck didn’t apply to aptitude chest

I have read through this post

But it sounds like the global luck should apply to Aptitude rewards but again it is not super clear

Actually if you read that post it says that global luck applies to all Containers

Aptitude crates if you look here are a Loot Container New World Database | NewWorldFans.com

There are also a bunch of types of caches in that list I would expect luck to apply to

I believe at the very least it impacts Tradeskill gear drops. I’ve seen this commented a few times before as well.

When I opened my 70+ T3 aptitude chests after the smelting gear update, I got 6-7 pieces of it recall correctly.

I save my T3s from dailies and open in my luck gear

Yeah I’m also wondering that. Like the gear patterns are they more likely to drop with better luck?

The RNG on getting Smelting gear from chests is crazy.
My main character opened 66 tier 3 chests before getting the first Smelting item. (3 houses with 3x tier 2 luck trophy)

My Alt character got a drop on his first tier 3 chest and got a 2nd on chest 4.
(No houses and no luck trophy)

No one seems to have a consistent answer for this. Would be nice if the devs could confirm
