It allows you to make Orichalcum arcana items with iron
I have this bug also. I am able to make the regular (Iron/Steel/etc.) arcana weapons with any metal.
For example, I can make an Orichalcum Void Gauntlet using just Iron Ingots for the metal requirement, seemingly making it much easier to level.
It is also then possible to salvage the gauntlet and receive Orichalcum Ingots.
