Issue I’m having is (and this may be normal and, if so, ignore this) but the Archos Imperator NPC (all Swordsmen style mobs like this really) seems WAY OP… I mean… most mobs require skill in that there’s an attack (or even multiple attacks) that you can block then you have an opening to get in a few attacks and then the NPC attacks again to where you block, etc. These Swordsmen style mobs though just nonstop attack / thrust / ram through you with a fire based rush attack / etc. There’s literally no point in a fight with them where they’re “not” attacking. This is one of those mobs where it’s literally “zerg it to death” as the only way to kill it. IE - you have to beat on its backside while it’s nonstop attacking everything around it and then rez yourself and die when it turns around. Also… it’s frontal attacks seem to be more of a 300 degree attack to where I’ve been behind it and been blocking and it still hits me. Which… brings up another point… this mob’s attacks pretty much penetrate all blocks.

I’m not sure if this is normal for this mob but, to me anyways, this mob seems INSANLY overpowered and needs to be looked at imho.

Example of what the mob I’m talking about below. We were attacking this mob with about… If I had to guess… 40+ people and it was just roflstomping its way through us:

Just to reiterate on this also, because I’m fully aware I may be mistaken and this could be normal behavior for some reason, but every mob I’ve fought in the entire game (to include boss mobs) pauses briefly to allow you a moment or two to attack.

This style mob is the only one I’ve ever come across that spams attacks nonstop from the time it’s aggro’d until the time it finally dies.

Just curious if I could get an answer to if that’s intended or not please.

Thank you.

I know your busy with server questions but, when you have a free moment, any thoughts on this @Luxendra or @Talon?

They made it so the difficulty for those elite areas scale to the number of players in the area. This makes zerging a lot harder.

Well that’s the oddity though. If that’s the case, I honestly have no issue with that and the rest of the mobs in those zones still act normally though. There’s still those normal pauses. Like… they’ll do some huge “wtfpwn you” attacks but then there’s that normal pause where you’ve got (at the very least) a few seconds to put on the hurt then they attack and you can block etc. It’s the skill part of this game that I love so much.

Those Swordsmen though… it’s just nonstop swings, lunges, charges, etc and they blow through your blocks like you’re just standing there with your eyes closed. It’s nuts.

That said, as before… if it’s normal, so be it. I’m just curious if a Dev could ask someone to look into it to “see” if it’s normal or not. If they come back and say it’s normal, I’m happy to shush myself about it

I think they are the same Mob as the Commander Thorpe boss in Depths dungeon who has similar attack style. So probably intended

Right but even Thorpe has pauses where you can put the hurt on him before he ramps into his attack phases again. If you know what I mean?

yeah you’re right
