We have no idea when, all we know is that they have laid the groundwork in 1.1.1 so I would assume before christmas and yes we will get at least 12h notice.

I’d imagine they won’t give a set date, hugely ahead of time. From what I understand, the merger tests via PTR, left a good amount of bugs.
I’m sure the player base would prefer that they get it right the first time, instead of risking something gamebreaking coming out of it.
You’re talking about transferring character files, in mass, simultaneously. Plausible that corrupted character files could potentially happen. If I was them, I’d create a backup, and a backup of the backup, then take the game down for a couple days. This way they can rule out any fuck ups before opening it back up.
server merges in less than a month, during the holiday season?

realistically maybe late january/early february
doing it now is just asking for disaster
They don’t have much time left. If the merges don’t happen next week or the week after, we’re looking at January.
They cannot merge servers three days before Christmas and then go on a two week holiday. Merges are 100% going to cause major problems, so doing them before vacations would be disastrous. There’s not much time left and I wouldn’t expect them to happen in December.
I agree. Its next week or January and my money is on Jan. They wont want to create a load of drama for themselves right before Christmas.
We will get a big holiday event and hopefully it can be enjoyed solo so the low pop servers can join in.
