Maybe this is how they’re going to handle server merges, because of territories, and they merge multiple dead servers to completely new ones for a land grab.
Why would this game need new servers? At best for a completely new start. Besides that we already have 300 ghost servers.
How do you merge 2 servers? What do you do about the issue of territories already under control?
The answer may be that you merge them onto a blank server and delete the original 2.
Something to take note of - organize the servers by world set, notice the new servers are in some cases 1 per world set, in other several within a single world set.
Interesting…
They merged servers in beta. One server merges onto another server, and the merging server loses their territory control.
Yes but in beta territory control has no value, it is a test environment where you have no expectation of retaining any of what you’ve earned - It may be the same case with live server, it also may not be.
Interesting, its one way to handle it I gues is fix the bugs/dupes/exploits and reset the servers economy. I wonder if they will limit how much stuff you transfer with. Maybe they gonna merge all servers into new servers and reset everything reagrding items/zone control. This way you cant just pop in their and buy 5 zones because you have tons of gold from bugs
I wouls assume if they merge 5 low pop servers into one new server no one has control of the zones because its a new server.
Is it just US East that has new servers or do other regions have new servers to?
There are new USWest servers as well, but not as many as USEast
So they will merge 3-4 low pop servers onto a fresh server with no ownership? That is not a bad way to do it. I hope they release the details this week.
