Are we allowed to make our own "add-ons"?

Can we (are we allowed) to create add-ons to the game? An example of what Im thinking of is an addon that lets you swap entire gear sets at once, something easily written…so I’m just wondering if we will get banned for something like this.

Yes, that would be bannable for sure.

if they cant detect it, its good!
Please send me a link if you make one.

Cant punish what they cant detect.

I would say, maybe you could outline your idea in the feedback section.

@Fourseven It sounds like you know what you’re doing from the confidence so surely there is some skeleton work you could do to work out any kinks or whatever they could expect maybe, idek. It’d be sick if we could swap out sets, the devs may have some argument about immersion or something. As a PvP player I could see it maybe getting annoying someone swapping to full heavy Sword and Shield/Lifestaff or something, I would still want the option though personally.

Yes seeing as NW is written in LUA for most UI and frontend related things it shouldn’t be a problem to make. Would have to make it out of combat only for sure or it would ruin PvP, but I’ll see if I get some free time I’ll throw something together that I could show the CA/Devs and see what they say

idk homie they said they didnt even really know if they liked the mini map that much, this might be risky

That is absolutely not allowed.

It looks like it was an awesome thought however not allowed

I hope that you see fit to outline a verbal structure on the feedback forums (I’d be sure to throw a like), a verbal outline of the generic concept (however accurately you could find to describe without going into fiddly stuff) should stay within rules. It’s a good idea too and surely they’d embrace any QoL changes to combat recent consumer malcontent.

So basically, it’s only alright if they give their approval first. Shame.

No harm in trying for their approval.

That would be the only way all of the massive number or QOL issues will ever be fixed. AGS developers are simply way to lazy to address them. With that being very apparent open it up and let 3rd party developers do the job AGS developers are too lazy to do.
