Also this new “queue skills system” destroys the game, idk who came up with this system. Its so bad, its insane. No idea how often I died already cause I swap weapon and suddenly Im using (for example) my R skill on my off-hand - when actually I just casted the R skill I wanted on my MAIN weapon.
After I casted it on my Mainweapon I spam weapon switch (to off-hand) and for whatever reason I cast the R spell on my off-hand?! Like bro, I didnt even click R after I swapped my weapon, I clicked it BEFORE I even swapped to my other weapon?
Input on keyboard looks like this for EXAMPLE (its normal for many to kinda “spam” the key cause of the unresponsive and clunky input the game has): R, R (for using skills), 2, 2, 2, 2 (for weapon switch)
What happens ingame: You cast R on main hand, then automatically will cast R on off-hand as well.
Its so bad, I have no words for this. Also a classic: hit LMB for normal attacks on LS for example, then you need to pot, but the game doesnt let you because 3 more light attacks are somehow still queued up. So its 3 secs where you are trapped in this animation and are not able to pot and just die. Just the best.
Edit: I actually have 2 really good PVPer friends who quit the game as long as its like this with the “skill queue” ;(
I don’t blame you. I quit pvping back in early december due to desync. Recently tried pvping a bit again and the desync has actually gotten even worse. Didn’t think that was possible
I think a big part of the problem is movement skills and movement hindering skills. If the devs can’t get ahead of the problem they should seriously consider limiting these effects. The way these interact with the client seem to cause a lot of the problems.
It’s not an ideal solution to be sure, but something needs to be done, and adding more roots and dashes doesn’t seem to be the answer (looking at you blunderbuss and claw shot!)
Thankfully I haven’t seen any desync(s) as far as I can tell,
on east coast server/world: Ys
but then again it is a LOW population server… so… yeah… lol.

I guess I’ll stop playing New World for now as desync is unacceptable. I don’t play other games with desync problems as well. I’m gonna return once they fix this mess and not introduce other critical bugs.
I have seen Asian Mmorpgs 10 years ago having everything and insane skill animations and casts and effects and whatever else…but running way smoother than this.
Agreed. In my opinion they should patch it back to how combat was pre 1.1 patch. That’s when all the major desync issues started happening. Patching it to pre 1.4 is probably more realistic tho
