Are we just gonna ignore desync ruining the game?

There’s no fix for desync. it’s the game engine and it’s inability to keep up with the character abilities and movement.

this is what we get.

Unless there’s a complete overhaul of combat and the ability animations / distances traveled / speed of travel of course.

Yes it is not a small deed to accomplish even worse desync effect but AGS can pull off some miracles when it comes to

“community griefing bug tactics”.

They should patch all PvP changes back to the version before 1.4. Its just unplayble rn. It was always a problem but not that big like rn.

i 100% that the desync or laggy movements are way worse after the last patch.

id like to see what they’re thinking about as well.

I think a big part of the problem is movement skills and movement hindering skills. If the devs can’t get ahead of the problem they should seriously consider limiting these effects. The way these interact with the client seem to cause a lot of the problems.

It’s not an ideal solution to be sure, but something needs to be done, and adding more roots and dashes doesn’t seem to be the answer (looking at you blunderbuss and claw shot!)

its literally getting worse by the day, with each day having a lower player count than the last.

Thankfully I haven’t seen any desync(s) as far as I can tell,
on east coast server/world: Ys
but then again it is a LOW population server… so… yeah… lol.

I remember reading in like 3 different release patch notes now that desync has been fixed.

Are you suggesting AGS is lying to us in patch notes? :wink:

I guess I’ll stop playing New World for now as desync is unacceptable. I don’t play other games with desync problems as well. I’m gonna return once they fix this mess and not introduce other critical bugs.

Yes I 100% agree! Roots are the #1 cause for most of my desync issues

I have seen Asian Mmorpgs 10 years ago having everything and insane skill animations and casts and effects and whatever else…but running way smoother than this.

We need hot fixes for a mess that lat patch did to pvp.

Agreed. In my opinion they should patch it back to how combat was pre 1.1 patch. That’s when all the major desync issues started happening. Patching it to pre 1.4 is probably more realistic tho

I agree, idk what they did but combat feels super strange now

At launch even with 1million players play global, there was almost no server lag or desync.
Think it was after nov update last year, then game became this server lag feast.

Yeah it was the introduction of the voidgauntlet. Since the lag has been SOOO baad

Yes you are correct. All the major desync issues etc. started with the november update. I wish they reverted the changes they made back then but I am honestly not sure if they know that it was the november update that started all the lag and desync problems
