You don’t need to be a chef to know if something tastes bad.
You remind me of a heckler at a comedy show in which the comedian mocks someone making a similar argument. You do not need to be a Dev to know that all these bugs are unacceptable. Just as you don’t need to fly a helicopter to know the pilot fucked up if he ends up in a tree.

Because @Kay was treated like human excrement. and I’m really disgusted with all the people who wanted to be a gangster behind a keyboard.
I am not his lawyer but unlike many I prefer to show my appreciation for his and their efforts than to go against them.
I’m curious to know how gaming dev works, in a normal business the devs receive their work from a BA who will get them from the business owners of a system or product.
In the gaming world who is creating the user stories? Who owns the various systems in the game?
I would expect if a bug is released to the public then that’s not a dev problem but a QA mistake.
it is okay that they are not acceptable, but they can always be improved. the impressions that the community makes to someone who maybe wants to try it, leaves a bad impression. when all these problems are not there. just a little time and the game gets better. but as others have already pointed out the AGS team is fixing or rather trying to fix the problems as quickly as possible. and if we want to play the game of comparisons to be hypocritical, on this point of view AGS is better than other companies or other games at launch. then that if they fix an error, 5 are created that is another matter, but computer science is difficult, for this reason I am understandable. I also repeat I would like to quit rage. But if we were all like this, no mmorpg would have life after 1 month from launch. but how do they improve if something doesn’t work and everyone starts insulting? C mon we can be Better then this… i feel like we’re the bad boss telling the employers what to do with an arrogant tone and then in the end we are more ignorant as them.
Well, yes Im sure many people who play New World are in fact software developers. I myself develop software for a fortune 5 company. The difference is I dont come in here professing to know what the best course of action to right this sinking ship is. I dont have visibility to multiple things that employees have that would help making an informed decision on that type of thing. I can certainly speculate from my own past experience though.
When a product does not work as advertised consumers have a right to voice their displeasure with said product. Sometimes those responses can be ill informed emotionally charged outbursts, like we see here every day. Does this invalidate the issues? Absolutely not. I want to see this game succeed, truly. I think we’re getting close to the point of no return though.
If I worked on a project for 24 months, was told where there were issues with my work however I ignored those concerns and STILL released the product in a broken state I would lose my job. Thats the main issue here. These game breaking bugs, like the gold dupe, have been around for MULTIPLE releases. The game was pushed back a year and still the same issues are present. Thats just sloppy ass work at minimum.

If you got a pc 20 years ago you could expect a bluescreen from time to time and that was normal, if u get Bluescreen from a pc today, you bring it back and get a new one or get new hardware that works properly.
So why is it ok for game developers to launch games that has so many bugs, like some classes doesn’t work (mage aoe spell is a lotto)
Abilities don’t work, there are so many armor perks that don’t work atm that i’m unsure if any of them actually do work properly.
Yes all games have issues but why is it ok?
Why don’t people like you demand better?
Why do people like you think it’s ok to release a halv complete game that should still be in beta.
Don’t you have any standards in your life do you teach your kids it’s ok to do a job wrong and get payed for it?
We criticize so they learn and hopefully change their way and stop releasing games with so many bugs.
You have beta test for a reson, several of these issues where reported in beta and they didn’t bother to do anything about them, that is why we are where we are and that’s why so many are pissed, they didn’t fix the bugs before launch or properly test it.
If anyone stops playing a game because it’s boring, to many bugs and so on, then it’s definitely the developers fault the game is bleeding players how can you blame that on the community??
I think you are worrying about a non existent problem. The game regardless of today or tomorrow will hit it’s stride in 2 years. That is the story for every MMO. There is nothing to gain by lying and saying there is no problem. I have talked to developers of games and they have stated that angry feedback is actually good. It means people like your game and are invested. Hearing nothing is the worst as that means no one cares.
I definitely don’t think a Dev has a free hand, if you read what some community managers have written they have many departments and each deals with different things from the others. and surely managing all those people requires someone above that shrouded skinny might make bad decisions, but I don’t think the developers have carte blanche on how to do something. I think that everything is made on the basis of economic decisions like all other mmorpgs or that if a bug is not a damage it burdens the economy of the company they will never use 100% of the resources to fix it, then every company is different but from what I understand in MMORPGs is always an estimate if it is worth the money to fix or leave a bug.
I am not part of the industry I have taken quotes from sources who have been part of it or are still part of it today. I am definitely not saying that this also applies to the AGS management model.

YOU ARE ABSOLUTE RIGHT. i Just want to make clear that i do not want anymore negative feedback in the global chat in game. That is annoying. On the forum i get It. But in game everyday listen about that Is bugged, this Is bugged, that Is not gonna be fixed, this sucks… its Just killing my Mood if you know what i mean…

Well i don’t really want to proceed further and say some bad things.But when you don’t like something you just don’t do it.
But no there is such a players that first of all using the bug for their good.Then after they get Banana sandwich(BAN) because they deserve it,they are starting to complain about what a shitty game Amazon made

The problem of the humans is this they like the things that are not allowed but when they do and they get caught they start to complain…
And im saying humans because we all are.
But everyone is different so try to be more realistic and do some good instead of crying in the forums like a child.

So the only valid opinions are programmers who applied for AGS? What if they didn’t get the job? Doesn’t matter, they got the credentials I suppose by that logic.
AGS literally has multiple avenues for bug reporting/feedback and so on. Why would they have this if they didn’t want feedback from outside their inner circle? Based on your post, it sounds like you don’t want any of it, not just the toxic posts, but all feedback. That seems incredibly sort sited and a recipe for disaster.
I do believe most people are upset because one thing gets fixed but 5 more bugs get added. I have worked in the gaming community before as well (and specifically for a company that had gotten a lot of flack)… but just so my opinion matters, let me go apply for a random job posting on AGS (lol).
I have standard with my goals in Life, not for a game. And if i was that type of person i would probably be fine with this product and you know why? Because Is playable, not full playable, but you can still enjoy It.
I pay 100€ and sometimes even more for some BS games, but 100€ Is another price comparse with 40€ for me 40€ Is not a scam, u spend 70-100€ for a football game every year that Is Just a Copy Paste with updates. I totaly understand ur point of view but i do not have any standard for The game industry or games in general in 2021. because all game industry Is Just broken. Only few names are good. And yes you are totaly right those bugs are a pain in the arse, but they Will fix It im SURE 100000001%

That is to say, I enjoy sitting on top of the TV for hours on end pretending to be a developer.
I want It, i don’t want the people to be rude. Because Dev and players are not two separate team, both are what makes the games u got It? So why you Need to be so aggressive when you send a feedback? U can send a constructive comment without being a jerk. Not talking about u but in general
Lmao. AGS has all the signs of being in development hell and have failed to release even one actually good game. Why would any competent developer want to apply for work at AGS unless they pay like triple the industry standard (which they almost certainly don’t)? And even then, is it really worth the stress?
my worries are that the game will end up changing developers and worsening everything here. I would like to avoid getting to a tipping point where a server reset would really be the solution.
Are you a chef? No? Then stop complaining there are hairs and glass shards in your dish and enjoy it for what it is.
