Are you a musket player? this is how your enemy wants you to fight in OPR

No one actually complains about Musket OR bow. Throw in Life Staff in that list as well.

It’s the rapier that is still waaaay too good at evading attacks and making distance as soon as they’re engaged. It’s too easy for rapier user to make distance and reengage after they’ve healed up. Rinse and Repeat untill they get the desired outcome.

I’m a light GA/Hatchet user with Reap/Charge/GA and I go Toe to tie with ranged rapier users but that’s after I’ve chased them across the map and taken 4+ minutes to do it. I love that gameplay, it’s satisfying after I’ve finally caught them but no one with any sense or any desire to win OPR/Wars is going to do that. So they’re just invincible since the reward for killing them is never worth the time.

there are musket players in OPR that are using hacks, that is a fact. If they dont miss a shoot (on the head) although you are dodging and changing direction, how is it possible?. In Abaton there are 2 of them playing together and destroying the game, no sense to play that OPR. Of course, they got reports.
Other are playing fair, and no issue with that. It is fun to fight with them.

Yestetday i report one musket becose he hit be then ibeas behind wall, it was lagg, desync, ir cheet, i dont know, i report him and i pm him about it

Long range hitscan in a predominantly projectile/melee MMO is meme-worthy game design.

Add in light armour mobility disparity and rapier as a get out of jail stick and you can’t really blame people for getting salty about this absolute meme level of balance that is PvP (which is likely to get even worse with these new perk ‘upgrades’).

Coming from the guy complaining about practically every weapon not named musket/rapier.

In one of the oprs we as 3 players chased a musket rapier guy until we killed him. He called us bots and bad and started saying why we shouldn’t do that :joy: There are situations that I was 1 hit away from death and jumped of a wall and got shot mid air :grimacing::star_struck: You gotta appreciate musket players with good aim that are just silent and deadly but games are for everyone and there will be kids that are young and spam you in private or grown people with issues. I often troll musket players because I don’t see how can one kill me alone but they get me back when someone stuns me or fights me already so that’s how a musket should be played! Dirty with unfair advantage and people shouldn’t complain

yup, id bet money the average age of a new world player is 35, and anyone around that age, even with 0 fps experience, could never fathom that you hit shots and outskill them, so they just report

I feel like bow/musket users never understand never bring a knife to a gunfight… legit can sit back 100yrds and peg people… rapier as soon as anyone touches you or even looks at you… it’s meme at best and terrible game design that allows people to think they’re good XD

I am only playing musket, but with the trap tree, I just find it enjoyable to play that tree cause u are mostly close range, but I got to say, the weapon is not designed for that, musket needs some changes, in my opinion, less range and make it more engaging in close range, like people can roll throughout ur trap and negate all ur nade damage, which is kinda lame as hell.
non the less, the musket is really in need of an overhaul, with what we have now, no one is happy.

I go mid as a musket, pretty fun. Stand in the corner picking players off. Or stand on fort wall if I can get away with it.

Spend most of my time trying to burst down healers with a sticky combo.

I like when players think I’m aim botting. Means I’m comparable to a program that aims for you :rofl:

Go for it, I’ll just make you even more upset by switching to ice gauntlet. Only difference is that I’ll be more focused on kiting you, instead of getting within melee range to give you a chance of comboing down my 7100 to 8500 health.

Oh no, you caught me in a grav well or a slow from LOD. Ice tomb makes me invulnerable, heals me, and cleanses all debuffs.

Go for it…nerf rapier.

uhhhh. I’m a long time fps enjoyer and know for a fact there are very obvious aim hack abusers in New World. It’s stupid easy to tell and so easy for said abusers to simply say they have great aim. The unfortunate truth is that there is no actual way for players to “prove” it, so we hope devs will. But you know how that goes, and those abusers are taking advantage of that fact. Of course there are false accusations, but your head is in the sand (or you’re one of them) if you say it’s not an issue.

Life Staff is still bonkers, with or without rapier. Arenas specifically need a built-in game mechanic just to put a little pressure on healers. That’s damning evidence on its own even if you don’t believe the countless other videos and complaint threads.

so, are they the ones who want to kill you when you’re already in the middle of 3 or 4 guys alone who come to lecture? the muskets like the melee to fight each other, while they do their big ranking without taking any risks

Mage players

Melee players

Musket/bow/rapier players

I 100% believe that if this was an option, everyone will know their place in the game and who the enemy is…

We already have wars on the forum between these factions, would be amazing if we can bash our nemesis in game as well…

range hate melee, melee hate range, mages hate everybody…it’s a complete cycle

Are you a musket player? This is how you want to play

  1. Sit on top of tall rock 200+m away. Infinite ammo.
  2. Hitscan, no damage drop off. Greatest enemy is render distance setting.
  3. 5 con, would be 0 but they force you to have 5. Everything for damage.
  4. Never be approached. Having to move means melee is OP.
  5. The hell is this thing you call a “point” and what do you mean by “capping”?
  6. Do this for 30 minutes or until OPR is over.

Im around 1600 hours only played musket for like 1550 hours lately switched to bow as Im not playing that much anyway so I would like to enjoy it a little. And damn even a nerfed bow is still outclass the musket in every possible way.
Accuracy sometimes even better with heavy attacks than I do with musket because of the gigantic hitbox and the nature of projectiles and rate of fire.
Damage output? about twice as much with the bow, and I have an actual kill potential not just poking people who sometimes didnt even bother healing or didging even after multiple hits from shooter stance froma 625 bis geared musketeer.
I love the musket but lately its got so much nerf even though it was the weakest weapon to begin with, now its reached the point where its not even fun anymore. I mean the musket never been a strong weapon it was always the underdog in any fight but it was kinda fun, now its just annoying.
I hope they will rework it or buff it because now its just simply an unusable troll weapon. Who the hell thought to only give on avg 2k dmg to a weapon that have a pixel hitbox, and a 2sec reload and no mevement or utility ability? Even the bow hits over 4k consistently and i can shoot 3 times while the musket shoot once.
