Arenas needs to have healer balance

This only works on triple aoe healers.

The screenshot I linked above, 2 of the 3 were constantly on me and it did nothing to stop me from healing my teammates. One opponent having nearly 1 million damage should tell you that the God healers like myself just rick roll around the arena when people try it.

Honestly the people you were playing against just sound bad. The single target heals are easily interruptible.

Generally every group I’ve gone up against.
It helps that I can stun anyone who tries, and easily jump across the arena. Low cooldowns on both weapons.

If the healer is being constantly interrupted, you’ve either got the whole team in a premade working them proper, or a bad healer.

It’s a major reason why a healer makes the game-changing difference.

I typically pressure the healer and make 1 of 2 decisions.

1.) If the healer is bad I can kill them.

2.) If the healer is not bad I can make them blow their cooldowns and swap targets.

It’s not a great system, but I don’t think we’ll ever see meaningful PvP balance.

Yep my team did over 1m damage last night to a team with a healer. It’s pretty outrageous and people think that this is okay for this to be a thing

literally a skill that auto targets, and a skill that puts a healing circle down. Oh its so hard? the idea is that wen u fight premade with healer and you dont have 1 you get shafted and even having 1 randomly while the other team doesn’t is difficult. its something that is stupid and is a problem in the entire game not just arenas. there needs to be overheal, limit to amount of heal, etc.

Every game - all tab targets and the vast majority of action combat games - have healers that can auto target some heals and AoE the rest.

And frankly most of those other games have healers with bigger heals, more types of heals, in addition to on demand shields, on demand cleanses, buffs, cc, debuffs, and more built-in survivability. So really based on my experience here and elsewhere, it should be easier to deal with healers here than in most other games (it’s also why there are far less people playing Life Staff in NW compared to healing in other MMO’s).

The tactics aren’t any different in New World to handling healers - people just aren’t doing it.

In those tab target mmo’s you don’t need to focus on hand-to-eye cordination/accuracy nearly as much, you are focused on ability timers, so the burst damage is much higher and of course would need a more powerful healer. That does not match up to new world, where accuracy of your hits are based more on skill reaction time and character maneuverability, rather than a calculated, strategic plan of attack like tab target. Healing gives an unfair advantage by having 100% accuracy with certain heals. Just click and done. If i’m using great axe and press my gravity well 1/2 second after I should have, its a complete wash and a miss. zero gain.

That’s why I included other action combat MMO’s in there. They’re all in the same boat in having more powerful healers but players can still deal with them in the same ways. New World isn’t the first and only action combat MMO out there. :stuck_out_tongue:

The only difference I see is that most MMO’s have role requirements, so you typically require 1 healer per arena team. That’s the only change we need here. Healers in this game are fine - they just need to balance the teams to each have one and only one. Same for BGs for that matter - OPR should only pop with a certain amount of healers per team.

Just the other day I played 12 games in a row where the other team had a healer. Nearly every single match lasted until the fire ring. I feel I wasted so much time and could have played 3x the amount of games in the same timeframe if played a team without healers. I quit for a couple days because it was so aggravating

no but new world is one of extremely unique design compared to every other MMO.

If you ever played arenas, when both teams have healers you stay alive till circle unless you have a cheese team and luckily get 3 warhammer stuns on a healer for unimaginable CC.

this is a honest healer and telling the truth.
healing in new world is effortless, and almost instant and tab target.

if i can put an ice pylon that does 3 m AOE of 1k-2k per tick and last 18sec with 20sec CD and can not be killed, and increase all my Dmg by 50% , and can not be immune by dodge (yes, you receive heal in iframe but you dont receive dmg)

I d play it over any dps wep, because it is just like hacking.

I dont need to do anything but just put the fkign AOE and rolly polly around it, and everything will be dead.

interrupted, for a skill CD of 3 sec, then how about 3 secs later?

Healer does 500k healing “heal is op”
DD does 900K damage “nerf healing”

Players don’t want to have to counter healers.
They want to be able to skilllessly click without using abilities and kill them.

I just played a match vs 2 healers and a tank. Was absolutely cancerous.

All three rounds ended by fire ring with tank knocking us out to burn… We had no healer

Yeah that and consumables literally healing way more than a dedicated healer. People point towards the wrong thing all the time lmao.

DD do nearly double dmg than HEAL and yet HEAL need nerf.

your delusional if we want ‘easy click’, because healers literally are the reason for seamless easy click, you cant kill them when you have 2 others attacking you and even then they still heal from 1 to 10000 hp… in a instant. WITH consumables…
